Look, I typically like to riddle these podcast articles with absurdities and bad jokes. But as you'll hear us discuss on this episode, there's a lot of stuff going down with Ghost Rider creator Gary Friedrich, who is being counter-sued by Marvel. The publisher is demanding $17,000 in "damages" for the artist selling materials at conventions featuring the character, and is saying he can no longer claim himself as the character's creator.

As the discussion of characters vs. creators continues to be a main topic within the comics industry, the always affable Steve Niles has begun a donation page for Gary, who is at risk of losing his home because of his legal situation. If you are able, head over to Steve's blog and make a donation. Better yet, take the money you were considering spending on the sure-to-be-terrible Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance and help Gary out instead.

With that out of the way, this show finds us talking about the recent shuffle of New 52 artists, Smallville coming to comics, the new Amazing Spider-Man movie trailer, Penguin: Pain and Prejudice, Secret Avengers, The Unwritten, Batman and Robin, and a whole bunch more.
