Mass Effect 3 hasn't even been released, but BioWare may already be hinting that Mass Effect 4 is in the works.
BioWare associate producer Mike Gamble has advised gamers to hold on to their Mass Effect 3 save files.
"Obviously I can't say anything, but it wouldn't be a bad idea," Gamble said in reference to gamers keeping their saves. Could this mean that Mass Effect 4 is on the way?
The most likely scenario is that Gamble is referring to downloadable content, especially given how much bonus content Mass Effect 2 received.
Still, the next chapter in the Mass Effect series isn't out of the question. In the past, BioWare confirmed that Mass Effect 3 would be the end of Shepard's story, but hasn't said that it will be the end of the Mass Effect franchise altogether.
For now, BioWare hasn't made any announcements. Mass Effect 3 will hit stores on March 6th. Until then, check out our impressions of the first ninety minutes.
