During an earnings call today, THQ CEO Brian Farrell commented on the upcoming cycle of next-generation consoles.

When asked if THQ was concerned about the risk of approaching a new hardware cycle, Farrell responded that new hardware presents "a tremendous amount of opportunity." He noted that the beginning of a console cycle is the best time to establish new intellectual property and that the next generation could provide an opportunity for the transformation of THQ.

Later in the call, Farrell was asked about developing for the Wii U specifically, but noted that due to THQ's relationship with all first parties, they're not currently commenting on development for specific systems.
