Resident Evil: Revelations is an exclusive game for the Nintendo 3DS. It was released on February 7, 2012 in North America and on January 26, 2012 in Japan. It's a canonical entry into the Resident Evil series and takes place in 2005, after Resident Evil 4 but before Resident Evil 5.
The story is divided into 12 chapters, which are often further divided into separate segments. It begins with Jill Valentine and her new partner, Parker Luciani, whom the newly formed BSAA have dispatched to investigate the disappearance of Chris Redfield. Jill's horrific adventures largely take place on an abandoned cruise liner, though the game also features several other locations and follows other characters at various points in time, including Chris, Parker, Jessica Sherawat and Quint Cetcham.
