Phoenix Wright 1-3 + Miles Edgeworth ReviewJanuary 1, 2012 by

I first heard of Phoenix Wright 2 summers ago. My friend was trying to heavily convince me to start this game. At first, he was just talk about how epic the storyline was and how the game got your brain going. And then I would eventually hear him talk with my other best friend about this scene or that and they would get all intense. So, once I got R4 the first game I downloaded was Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney and boom I was sucked in.

The game is pretty hard to explain. You are Phoenix Wright, a rookie defense lawyer and you basically.....do lawyer tasks. You go to court and well break witnesses testimony's, present evidence, and when you aren't in court you are trying to solve the impending case, by investigating the crime scenes or talking and interrogating various individuals. Yea that really doesn't sound appeasing or interesting but really this game is something that is more than meets the eye.

Now I personally like Phoenix Wright 3: Trials and Tribulations the best, but all really are lovable games. I recently got into the Miles Edgeworth (you learn of Phoenix's best-friend/rival in the PW series) Investigations games and while it is no Phoenix Wright the game is similar enough to its main core players but also different enough to be considered an entirely new game. All Phoenix Wright players should play the Miles Edgeworth Investigations.

Phoenix Wright 2: Justice for All is probably my least favorite of the series but it is definitely is the darkest of the three. The last case is something I will never forget (actually in all 3 the last case is always the best) but the gameplay actually was cutback in some areas, but advanced in others. The differences in this are while you can't personally analyze some of the items, you now had "profiles" on the characters you met so the witness testimonies were now harder to solve.

Phoenix Wright 3: Trials and Tribulations is just great in all aspects. The newest character (Godot- your new rival) is one of the best characters in the series, all the cases have unexpected twists, and you even get to see old characters from the previous games. PW3 just officially made me love the series as a whole and is a must play.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (series)-

Rate: 9/10 (PW1), 8.7/10 (PW2), 9.2/10 (PW3)

I'm to lazy to write full reviews like usual so:

Graphics- 8.5/10 The game is not amazing graphic wise but it is clean enough, both animation wise and the drawings

Story- 10/10  Phoenix Wright knows how to capture all players in its story. Each case has its own story and mystery behind it and solving each case has such an alleviating feeling.

Music- 9.5/10 The music in this game is catchy. It makes you want to tune up your Gameboy or DS and just put all the songs as its ringtones.

Gameplay- 9.5/10- Getting a player to be engaged in its gameplay is essential. I personally love being in the courtroom and finding the lies and holes in a witness' testimony but the investigating aspect is very fun as well. Sometimes the investigating is obvious other times you wanna pull your hair out.

Replayability- Moderately High. The game has 4-5 cases and "days" in the case but after beating the game, you just want to go back and play your favorite cases, or sometimes the entire game itself.

Remembering Link CablesDecember 30, 2011 by

I was cleaning out my room today and while going through some of my stuff I pulled out an old, tangled wire, with four outputs. I was like ahh my favorite contraption ever for the Gameboy.....Link Cables.

See Link Cables were originally built for the old gameboy and only had two inputs/outputs. The main use of this bad boy was for the infamous, always growing Pokemon series. All you would need is 2 Gameboys, 2 Pokemon Cartridges, and one of these bad boys to play all your friends in either a battle or trading Pokemon.

Seriously this idea was ingenious, it was the beginning of multiplayer on handheld, something Nintendo rarely gets credit for. Most of the time old multiplayer games on handhelds would require you switching the Gameboy over to a friend or relative when it says player 2 start, or like 99% didn't have multiplayer at all.

The Link Cables advanced too as the Gameboy....advanced...literally (as we got the Gameboy Advanced). The Link Cables reached up to now 4 connecting players and many games now had multiplayer. The biggest hits had to be the Yu-Gi-Oh trading card game, Mario kart Super Circuit, Pokemon, and all those Kirby mini-games that came along with the game.

The best thing about the Kirby Mini-Games was they were the first game to not require all the players to have the cartridges. While, you are more limited, it still meant everyone could have the fun. The best game though, even though everyone had to own it, was the Legend of Zelda: Four Swords. The game is just magneificent and really made you want to have a Link Cable and go buy a copy of the game (the Link to the past w/4 swords which EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE OWNED).

As good as the Link Cable was....there was ONE MAJOR PROBLEM. The risk of the cable being being pulled off. Whenever a Link Cable was thrown off like your Gameboy would go berserk and most of the time a simple on-off possible blow the cartridge would work. But in Pokemon, if you were trading a Pokemon and the Link Cables got disconnected you either got lucky and both Pokemon were saved, even luckier and the Pokemon were cloned, or......you lost them FOREVER

Well that was my little tribute to the Link Cable

See ya!

Kingdom Hearts...why you should play it and the ranking of the gamesDecember 28, 2011 by

Kingdom Hearts.....a great action-RPG that has the collaboration of Disney and Final Fantasy characters created by Squaresoft (now Square-Enix). I remember when I first saw the Kingdom Hearts commercial 10 years ago, I knew right away it was going to be an amazing game. The gameplay...it intrigued me, I was like it was Final Fantasy, but in a sense "alive". So when my older brother picked up Kingdom Hearts for his birthday, I just was in awe. The game was everything I expected but better.

Here's my ALL Kingdom Hearts blog: http://kingdomkeysora.tumblr.com/

Did you want amazing graphics, great music, a great story, seeing your favorite Final Fantasy and Disney characters, unique movesets, a perfect battle system, and some good challenging difficulty? Well this game right here had all of that. From the beginning of the game of choosing between a sword, shield, or staff to affect your attributes, to the deep reflection questions that happened before you obtained your Keyblade.

Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix Opening

So, why should you play Kingdom Hearts? Well if that above didn't hook you, the game is not quick, and it's got a series of games that just answer more and more questions as the story builds. You know those kinda books that when you read, you can't put down because you need to know? Yeah that is what this game is (also Xenoblade Chronciles but Xenoblade stinks compared to Kingdom Hearts).

I hear major criticisms from non-players that Disney character make the game "kiddy". One word: NO!. Mickey Mouse is probably the biggest badass in the series and the mystery put into his character is perfect. Also, Donald and Goofy provide the perfect amount of comedy relief and seriousness to make Sora, Donald, and Goofy one of the best trios out there.

The team!

I love Kingdom Hearts, I have a blog just for Kingdom Hearts and I love Sora. It put so many Disney characters in a new perspective for me and made you explore Disney worlds, which is really cool, it's unique. Now I will go on to list my preferences for the 6 game [and continuing] series:

6- Kingdom Hearts 358/2

KH 358/2 is my least favorite in the series. It was boring, repetitive, easy, and did I mention boring? The  game is centered around Roxas, the nice lad from KH2, from his time in the Organization XIII (you learn this from KH2 which came out before this one). Here a new character is introduced named Xion, who is "important" to the story of Sora's memories (I must be confusing non-players out there). But let me just skip ahead to a few more negatives and a positive. Xion is pretty much useless (in my own opinion, though I don't much care that she allows Roxas to use two keyblades) and my most hated protagonist, as she is technically irrelevant past this game as (SPOILER ALERT: no one will remember her existence), in addition the rewards from the missions (I play all the games on critical mode) are horrible, there is no difference. Also, you basically run around in the same worlds doing similar missions its pretty bad. But the one positive is there is multiplayer a first in the series, but it's not all that great.

As a Kingdom Hearts die hard I forced myself through this game but in reality it's a 7/10.

They like Sea-Salt

5-Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories

Chain of Memories is for the GBA but was later made for the PS2. This is a great game, it's just too different from the others with its battle system. I want to buy the ps2 version since.....obviously it's better but I dunno. Chain of Memories has such a great story and it's card battle system definitely is cool, it's just I'm too much of a Nazi when it comes to innovation on a series so I was kinda pissed (thus the low ranking). The game has to do with Sora right after KH1 [and also Riku] and the introduction of the main villains of KH2- Organization XIII and a super important character Namine. I won't spoil anymore but this game is very much fun and probably the most underrated in the series!

4- Kingdom Hearts Re: Coded

Kingdom Hearts Coded was originally for phones only in Japan. The game is set right after KH2 and has Data Sora explore these glitches and missing parts in the journal. The Re: Coded wad made for the DS this time not the PS2. Why this game gets up here is because this a great game for starters to get into, as well as old vets. The battle system destroys its DS predecessor (358/2), the difficulty is up there, and this game has that two games in one kinda feeling. The whole beginning of the game you are exploring worlds (in a new way) and fixing glitches while at the end you get to, in a sense, "re-explore" the worlds in Castle Oblivion and you get to fight Roxas with two keyblades (which was super fun on critical mode). The game has after-world explorations, so once you level up you can go back and further unlock the skills in your own character. Not to mention the cut-scene graphics are pretty good for a DS and I think this version has one of the better Dearly Beloved title screens.

Re: Coded

Re:Coded

3-Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep

Ahh Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, the first game chronologically wise. This game is great, I mean it pushed handheld Kingdom Hearts past what I thought was possible. This game basically feels like it should be on a system. The game stars 3 protagonist, Terra, Aqua, and Ventus, who not only influence the entire games' storyline but are their own deep characters as well. Each character has certain "strengths", as Terra has power, Ventus Speed, and Aqua magic; see unlike Sora who can balance out all 3. My least favorite has to be Aqua, not only because I rarely use magic in Kingdom Hearts, but I usually beat KH games very under-leveled in critical mode so her mode/story was a pain in the ass (more to get on later).

Now, the game has yet again another change on the battle system but this time it involves shotlocks and "abilities". Shotlock was a special move that allowed you to target multiple Unversed (not Heartless or Nobodies in this game) and destroy them. While it was cool, I used it seldom as it kinda threw off the timing of your fight and is practically useless against bosses. The abilities were different as you can use say magic, but instead of wasting an MP bar, the ability would have to recharge itself. While this was cool, I prefer the MP bar because well....I can heal multiple times; but you can place multiple curaga's on your abilities.

The story is played from the 3 perspectives of whatever character you choose, so if you play as Terra you see what Terra did while he was separated from his team and etc etc. The game's best character in my opinion is not the ultimate villain (who is the villain in all the games) Xehanort but Vanitas. The guy is (SPOILER ALERT: the opposite of Ventus darkness in every way and he's got some serious moves). The game also has a mini-game Mario Party thing, which is cool to waste time and level up your abilities faster, and you can sometime play with friends, but that is if you don't wanna really do the main story.

Birth By Sleep

See a tip for players on critical is, you have to kinda level grind until the first boss, there you will be perfectly fine until you reach the final battle, where you have to level grind at Hercules Olympus Coliseum. Now, why I hate Aqua (besides her character) is you have to use her for the true ending battle at the end of the game to unlock Blank Points, and you don't know how hard it is to fight a character who can kill you with one hit and you practically do nothing. Ugh, her character blows in the story too....but Terra and Ventus are awesome.

Now I tell people either start with this game of Kingdom Hearts 1 because this is true Kingdom Hearts here, down to the gameplay, music, exploration, and  hidden quests (like Vanitas Sentiment). Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep is truly a great game in the series and makes the game a lot more clearer.

Final mix

2-Kingdom Hearts 2

Kingdom Hearts 2....built on everything Kingdom Hearts did, but made it better. I mean dual wielding (by changing forms), more combos, more worlds, bigger worlds, better music, amazing story, old and new characters, more to do in every world than before. Man, Square-Enix just knew what they were doing, this game is great. KH2 is wayyyyy to long for me to explain in this article, but just think about what I said about the previous games and mesh them all together. So heartless, Sora, Roxas, Kairi, Riku, Organization XIII, keyblades, door to light, Xehanort and throw it all together. The game story is touching and pans out very well, I especially liked the tidbits of Sora's memories coming back to him in CGI way and it was displayed like a broken video and also how the plot develops after every world.

KH2 Opening video

KH2 Battle system is the same true battles system from KH1 the only difference was an action command and longer  combos. In my opinion the action command is a noob button, I don't like it. (and I believe this is what they are adding to make the FFXIII battle system better LOL...it's all about the stagger -_-). The good thing about it though is the triangle button action command helped flip over the Heartless enemy called Large Body so you can beat him up but that was it. But I mean it was a unique feature. The combo additions I did love though. To be able to pull multiple combos that you could chain large groups of enemies in, was sick, especially when you were able to master the air combos with Sora.

Another change was instead of dying, once in a while you were able to "reborn" as Mickey Mouse and fight as him! He had some cool combos but he was never allowed to kill a Boss. Another good and bad feature that had to do with the forms was Sora's Heartless form otherwise known as Anti-Form. It was cool at first but you realize you have no defense and your attacks are weak, but hey that's what happens when you over-Form.

Memories

The graphics are great for this game and like I said the world and music are amazing. A funny thing is though you don't start off as Sora in the game, and I've heard complaints it makes the game slow, especially for veterans. While I do agree, don't forget they have to teach people how to play the game and explain new things, so I overlook the Roxas-beginning Chronicles lol.

Never start off with KH2 but it is a must play for Kingdom Hearts fans and noobies who have only played 1 game!

1- Kingdom Hearts

The best game in the series so far is actually its original. Weird thing was I always though KH2 was the best one until I decided to replay the first one. While it does not have the length and flashiness of the second game the game is downright solid. From the beginning of the game where you learned and mastered the power of the keyblade (one of my favorite ever "intros" to a game) to fighting in tournaments at Olympus Coliseum and seeing Cloud for the first time, to seeing Ansem Seeker of Darkness; the game just rocks. All the classic tunes are in the game, the Dearly Beloved at the title screen just warps you right in, and the characters are all loveable.

KH1 Title screen

What makes Kingdom Hearts amazing is it's mastery of action-RPG. From practicing fighting Wakka, Tidus, and Selphie at Destiny Islands to fighting SEPHIROTH. You don't understand Sephiroth is one of my favorite boss battles, in critical mode my first 5 minutes of hitting him didn't even scratch his health bar so it was like he had a health bar under a health bar! While the game is pretty slow in the beginning (think Alice in Wonderland and Tarzan levels) the game picks up dramatically to hook you right after that. In addition, the game has many secrets such as the Winnie the Pooh chapters, finding all 101 Dalmatians and my favorite the secret bosses (and obviously the extended Olympus tournament). So the game isn't as short as people think.

This is the game that started it all and should be everyone's first. The game itself is just an amazing feat for Disney and Square Enix and I'm glad they are advancing the series as much as they could.

Kingdom Hearts has its own manga series and even a spot in Disney Land Toyko!

A little about me on Kingdom Hearts:

  • I have that Kingdom Hearts blog (above)
  • I own all the games except the Final Mixes (obviously I'm from the US)
  • I never summon and never have so I don't even know what they do but I just know they are useless
  • I always play on critical mode. The game is easy (well for me) and I don't need to warm myself up by playing lighter modes
  • My favorite Keyblade is Oathkeeper but in KH2 I always have Decisive Pumpkin attached (better stats for my Sora)
  • I always drop the staff and keep the sword. I have never been a magic person, my game is all speed and strength and Donald likes to save my ass on occasion
  • My favorite character not named Sora has to be Vanitas followed by Riku then Ventus then Roxas
  • My favorite boss has to be the secret boss in Aladdin KH1
  • As much as I like Sora x Kairi I secretly like Sora x Namine lol

Kingdom Key

Yep hope you guys enjoyed the post!

And get ready for KH3D

Dream Drop Distance

So what order do you guys put the game? Have you ever played? WELL YOU NEED TO !!XD

Xbox 360 and PS3....is there really "a war"?December 27, 2011 by

Ok, this is not one of those pick a side Xbox 360 vs PS3 who cares about that? There are enough of those I am here to play the Kira Yamato of this (Gundam SEED anyone?), the pacifist I don't really care about either side (and no it is not because I own every system since SNES [only major systems])

Today while I was at gamestop some guy asked me, "Yo, are you a Playstation or 360?" Well first off I wanted to say no I am a human being and not a machine, but sarcasm was not needed. But then I told him I like Playstation more, but that's if you want to game yourself. I told him if you want to play games online, you play get a 360, there are more users and the FPS is king on that system. While it's a bitch to pay for online, you pay for a year once and boom its gone. On the otherhand the Playstation, is more of all in one kinda thing, play games, get a blu-ray player, and hey get a little more exclusives than the average bear.

But I am asking the question does it really matter? Both systems have many similar games and hey, do their job entertain their audience. The media and corporations try to make a console war but in reality, there isn't. Yes, there is business war (which Sony destroys Microsoft as they only trail Google for the #1 corporation in the world), but there is no console war; does it really matter if the 360 sold better than the Xbox does that make the Xbox's engine more powerful than the PS3's? No. Oh, Sony has more 1st-party exclusives, cool let me tell that to my friend across game chat.

The media tries to start these fan base wars like these systems are professional sports teams. But in the end do YOU really care, what system was the "best of the year?" I don't mind when comparing video games because they are all different and there are different gaming genre's so you can compare multiple games, but for a system to be compared to EVERY YEAR when nothing changes is downright silly.

What I am here to say is each system has their own qualifications. Yeah, Bayonetta is better for 360 than PS3 while FFXIII is made for the PS3 but it should come down to your choice, not oh well the PS3 has etc. For me, I use my Xbox 360 for Halo Reach and sometimes Crap of Duty? Why because my friends have xbox 360 and I like to have fun with my friends.  My PS3 is basically made for trophies and 1st party titles.

Now I know not everyone can afford both systems, just really does it matter? There is no need to rationalize your buying of a 360 or a PS3 by demeaning the other system. It doesn't make your system better, just go out and play. Nothing is perfect, no system, no game (well maybe except Ocarina of Time lol).

The way I determine a buy is based off the games that come out. That's why my brother bought a 360 for Madden and Call of Duty, with the occasional random game or xbox arcade game. I bought a PS3 for uncharted, final fantasy, littlebigplanet, and ratchet & clank. Do I have to shit on Xbox because they don't have a good anthropomorphic animal icon? I understand arguments on critic scores of games, I mean I disagree with most of them, but to choose a side on a system doesn't mean you shit on the other, be more open-minded.

I am actually a huge Nintendo fanboy, while I find they do nothing wrong, you don't hear me going oh Nintendo sucks cause they don't have 1080p.....does that really make a good system? I feel as all the systems out there are great in their own way with their own games.

If you really want to shit on something then look no further than the media and the iPhones/iPads, iOS/android market. They make lies off numbers and piss off the handheld player (such as I off). Why, everyone has iOS look at the numbers.....well maybe because it automatically comes with a phone/iPad/etc and I guarantee you the number of cellphones owned is at least 10x that of DS and PSP combined. In addition, you would rather buy this .99 cents crappy game (especially Angry Birds which is not even innovative as it didn't even create the gravity launcher games) well you do that I will enjoy a full game of FFVII Crisis Core on my PSP.

My Super Legend of Zelda blog ft Top 10 Games and Top 5 Items...with GIFs!December 26, 2011 by

Well the year 2011 had a lot of video game characters getting one year older and hey probably the biggest name this year had to be The Legend of Zelda series hitting that quarter century mark. See I grew up with Legend of Zelda but I really didn't like the first game so I skipped the second. What hooked me into the series was the timeless Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past, which I still own for my SNES. I can go through a whole article about how a Link to the Past could get any gamer hooked on Zelda, but I am here to list my favorite Zelda's.

A quick thing I just want to say about the Legend of Zelda, Link, and Nintendo is thank you. The game is exactly what you dreamed, I feel as I am Link the hero and I am the one exploring the world, becoming stronger as the game goes on. The puzzles are enticing, the music is amazing, the story is movie screenplay great, and of course the gameplay is awesome. I have enjoyed most of the games team Nintendo and LoZ has spun out for us and the affect it has had on my gaming life!

The Legend of Zelda is:  "a mixture of action, puzzles, adventure/battle gameplay, exploration, and questing. These elements have remained constant throughout the series, but with refinements and additions featured in each new game. "

  The Legend

QUICK NEW EDIT: I would like to list my top 5 items in the game. While most of the items seem to generally stay the same in the series...each item is in fact different

5- Arrows

Arrows are an awesome part of the Zelda series, especially in its 3D games. The arrows allow for multiple mini-games, help solve puzzles, and hey they help defeat Ganon a lot.....he sorta hates these .

4- Roc's Cape

Roc's Cape is a unique item only found in 2D Zelda games. Why? Well it lets Link jump like mario and get to new places that were before unattainable. The only problem with these bad boys is apparently you can't job over rocks.... What the hell is that?

3- Hookshot

Hookshots are freaking cool. That's it I mean yea the Longshot was pretty cool in Ocarina of Time but then in Twilight Princess getting two of them and like going through the whole sky dungeon, traveling like that...it was badass. Oh yea they also stun enemies and get you items far away but who cares. gotcha

2- Boomerang

Boomerang's suck in 3D Zelda but yet for some reason you always need them. However in 2D Zelda's upgrading your boomerang to a magic boomerang usually meant that you were no longer rolling/running for ruppees you can just throw this bad boy all over the screen and CONTROL it....pretty handy.

1- Shield

The most important item in the game not named your sword or the triforce. Without this shield you are as good as goose meat...aka DEAD. Shields may not be used "as much" in the 2D Zelda's but hey you need them when your fighting almost any boss and in 3D Zelda's without out your shield....well let's say it's free reign on chopping. buy me one

Ok the Legend of Zelda has roughly about 15 games so I will list the games in order of my ranking in a "Top 10" obviously the ones not listed are not in my top 10...quick note I hate Majora's Mask so don't ask why it isn't in the top 10 it's a horrible game.

10 - Four Swords (Multiplayer Game)

Why is Four Swords your 10th favorite Zelda or even on this list? Well Four Swords is the first multiplayer game for Zelda and really is something you don't appreciate till you try. First off, the 4 Swords had a new style for Gameboy Link, which would later be used in Minish Cap GBA, and re-introduced the Legend of Zelda handheld series to the Gameboy Advanced. The first time I played 4 swords multiplayer (don't forget it came with the amazing Legend of Zelda LttP) I was instantly entertained. With Young Link's voice, the clean new cut graphics, picking up my friend throwing him in lava, then realizing I need his help to solve puzzles even though we are competing aganist each other, and the tributes to old Zelda Gameboy games (the Chain Chomp). You really need to find a friend to play 4 swords, kinda makes Link seem more fun.

9- Oracle of Seasons/Ages

Oracle of Seasons/Ages I was excited to play because the last Zelda for the Gameboy was a masterpiece itself, the only difference was we were getting two games for the price of...well two. The gameplay is smooth, although a little confusing at first when you were just thrown into a new season, or the past with almost no idea what to do... In addition game mechanics were probably a little better than Link's Awakening, the music is great, the story is magnificent (don't forget you have to beat both to get the real ending), and although it is a Zelda game I recommend this only really for fans.

8- Four Swords Adventure (GCN)

Probably the most underrated of all the Zelda's on here. Four Swords Adventure had one major flaw....it was a multiplayer game that really didn't allow multiplayer. Let me explain, the game came with the GBA-GCN connector right? Well a lot of people did not have the said connector and the ONLY way to play multiplayer in the game was to have more than one, which stinks. But now let me get into why this is a good game; Four Swords Adventure is one of the more difficult Zelda games. It is not played like an ordinary Zelda as you go through different "lands", which have stages (think Bomberman) but you still have to play Zelda gameplay; solving puzzles, defeating enemies, helping NPCs. This game is pretty long and some of the puzzles make you go AHHHH (pun intended).

I really enjoyed all my time playing this game and learning of the new abilities of the 4 sword. To be able to control all 4 Links, or one separately at a time to do some advanced puzzles were very fun. While I do imagine the game to be more fun with other players, it definitely would have been a lot more frustrating considering these puzzles were hard enough by yourself (now imagine someone who didn't listen). The mega-mob fights were awesome though.

7- Link's Awakening

Link's Awakening, the first Zelda game I ever played, and man I still own my original Gameboy Cartridge, in fact it is right next to me as I type next to my Mario Land. Link's Awakening...was confusing for the good old me (it came out in 1993 so I was 2-3 and I didn't play it till about 3 years later) all I knew was if I missed what the Owl kaepora gaebora said I was basically screwed because I had no idea what to do lol. In which lead to many restarts of the game or asking my older brother LOL. So, after many, many playthroughs I beat the game when I was 9 and everyone had the GBC version DX. I will never forget running into the fake Mario, seeing the chain chomps, the awesome final boss, or my favorite, stealing from the shop guy. I always had enough Ruppees but stealing from him was so fun and then coming back to get killed with his Raiden powers. Thank you LoZ: Link's Awakening for getting me into Zelda. always thought yoshi was in that egg even though I knew LOL

6- Wind Waker

At first...I hated Wind Waker...not because of the cel-shaded design, I thought it was unique. But I hated it because for some reason, it started off too different for me. You weren't really thrust right into action, you were just Joe Schmoe on your island and you had a sibling. I always felt Link was a destined soloist, who doesn't know his parents but always works hard to please others kinda guy. But Wind Waker got really good once your sister was captured. And then you started to scale the ocean, to different "uncharted" islands which actually enhanced the experience, because the ocean travelling was a different world in of itself! Now, if you had the GBA-GCN connector table, I'll tell you treasure hunting and getting all the secrets was easy, but man that map on the Gameboy Advanced was so... advanced! Then this game introduced the scrolls attacks, which I thought was a great add on than the usual 2 side sword swing with an upward thrust, or the spin. Wind Waker has a lot of bonus material, maybe because the game is so much exploring, that you are bound to find new things.

The puzzles dungeon and mini-game puzzles are great, meeting the fish just made you want to mark your whole map, and man this game had some ending. The story in the beginning was kind of muddled, but when you found out Tetra was Zelda and you needed to get the Triforce of Courage and resurrect the Master Sword to defeat Ganon, it all made sense. My favorite thing of the entire game (besides the ending) was the first time stepping into Hyrule...it was black and white it had no power. Until you brought it too life with and then color filled the land, making it vivid again. Pulling out the Master Sword

Castle comes to life

5- Twilight Princess

The Twilight Princess for some reason is considered a Wii game...well it is not it is a gamecube game ported to the Wii. I have the Gamecube version because it actually runs best on the system it was made for. OK, Twilight Princess could be argued as a better Ocarina of Time, but I do not think so, although it probably is the closest thing to Ocarina of Time we will get. Twilight Princess kind a felt like two games in collecting the Light Spirits and then getting the Mirror Shards, which was pretty cool. The thing about TP I didn't enjoy were the towns, I felt they were souless, like I actually felt like I was in a video game compared to the towns of old games. Yes, the towns were bigger and had some secrets, but the NPC s were meh, forgettable, and the sidequests weren't as fun.  Also, the secret "armor"/costume Link gets...kinda sucks I mean it drains your Ruppees and didn't look that cool and ugh I just didn't like it.

But I do have to say some of the hidden/bonus caves/puzzles were extremely fun/challenging and this game PERFECTED Link and Epona. You couldn't ask for better horse-back-ass-kicking; I also liked when you had to fight hoards of those gremlin creatures to advance to areas, made it seem like a wild world full of monsters. My favorite two dungeons had to be the ice level and the desert temple, they were down perfectly. It had excitement and horror and unique enemies, I really enjoyed playing them...and it took me forever to figure out how to hurt the desert boss lol. The scrolls were perfected in this game, as well, learning new abilities with your sword, which made the battles aganist the armors so much more fun. The only thing that took away from the sword moves was sometimes it was REQUIRED for you to kill the enemy, and that kinda takes away the point of a skill....

Wolf Link is cool but kinda redundant, but I understand he's a wolf not a badass swordsman.

Twilight Princess is a great game for people who want to get into Zelda and while people say buy it for the Wii, I am sticking my guns to the gamecube on this one. I mean I had it for both (cause it came with my Wii) but hey, listen. lol (not in this game)

4- Minish Cap

I didn't play Minish Cap until I hacked my PSP and downloaded a GBA emulator and got the Rom....one of my best decisions. The Legend of Zelda Minish Cap is the epitome of the series on the handheld. It takes elements from 4 swords, Link to the past, oracles, and link's awakening meshes them up to make a fantastic and memorable play. Probably the worst part about this game is you can't role diagonally, really that is it. You can learn sword skills in this game, you can use the Roc's Cape to jump!, you get the ocarina/quick travel early in the game because their is a lot of backtracking, the mix of tinyworld-Huge world is perfectly balanced, all the dungeons are perfectly done, and the music is superb and catchy. With that saying, their are many hidden secrets  (meet all the tingles get the magic boomerang, all 4 bottles of course, etc.)  and a bunch of sidequests, due to the idea of the Kinstones (which unlock more parts of the world for you to see).

Probably the biggest pain in the game is you literally have to talk a majority of the NPCs but that's what makes Zelda fun and feel alive! I recommend this game for all Zelda fans, no all video game fans. Let's go!

3- Skyward Sword

Is it possible to be hooked after only playing a bit of the game? This technically should be a rank of INC since I have only played a tidbit of Skyward Sword (and to think I got the limited edition bundle on the first day) but so far I have seen even close to wrong in this game.

I just have to say wow to everything, the seemingly flawless motion control, the orchestrated music, the opening of the game. I am very much looking forward to this and yes to doubters of how i put this third, the beginning is better than the games I listed and it only gets better. It's me enjoy this GPOY

2- Link to the Past

Link to the Past...this was tough putting it number 2. I mean who puts a complete game that is always fun no matter how many times you play it as their #2 game of Zeldas. Well Link to the Past is the game that hooked me on the series. I mean just the first half alone, was enough to satisfy the gamer in me but then BAM Dark World, Ganon has risen and more dungeons to explore. No one will ever forget the dark world theme, or the first time you became a bunny in the dark world, or pulling out the Master Sword this game is classic right down to the core.

In addition, this probably is my favorite Zelda to collect all the powerups. Like getting the level 4 Master Sword, the ocarina/flute, or all the medallions. Man this game just keeps you entertained...you never get bored. And that's what you want in a game; to always have fun. I can play this game anytime and anywhere and just play nonstop. The enemies, the grasscutting, the tunes, this game is what really started the Legend itself. THE ITEMS

1- Ocarina of Time

This is it the best Legend of  Zelda game of all of them. Ocarina of Time the model 3D game (well along with Super Mario 64). Ocarina of Time I play after every so many months. The game has be remade, technically twice, in OoT 3D [so new gamers could experience the Legend] and in the harder form of Master Quest [which we didn't get till we pre-ordered Wind Waker].

Before I go on...quick question is Master Quest in the OoT 3D a mirrored version of OoT3D. Because Master Quest (original/GCN) isn't mirrored it has the harder enemies, and the 20x more difficult dungeons...if anyone could answer that thank you.

Ocarina of Time...it truly is the perfect experience. Rated a perfect game by many, this timeless classic does more than enough to satisfy even noobs who probably can't out of the Lost Woods. Classic unforgettable tunes, such as Gerudo valley, only enhance the experience to further heights. The auto-lock was one of the most ingenious designs yet (and really helped with the hookshot), the mini-quests were fun and entertaining [like bringing all the masks to different people]. And the story was not only easy to follow, but a great one to learn. There a lot of things I will never forget like: Getting magic for the first time and getting the extended spin attack, or sneaking around killing guards in Gerudo Fortress, or fighting Queen Gohma and the screen going to its sudo-movie thing telling you the bosses name. Or even fighting Phantom Ganon.

The game also had its annoying parts like both water levels (although the water temple is not as hard people like to claim), the useless magic beans, and of course Navi. I love Ocarina of  Time and think every gamer who has ever played a game should play this game. This game created 3D adventure/open-worlds, and where would we be today without Ocarina of Time? OoT The best

Didn't make the top 10 cut: Majora's Mask, Legend of Zelda, Link's Adventure, Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks

So what do you guys think?

Have you played Zelda?

Want to try it?  What's your favorite?

and can you answer my question please?
