By Nathan Grayson | PC News | Jan 24, 2012 2:27 PM | Comment

Splash Damage has been relatively silent ever since Brink failed to make a huge splash last year, but the once-PC-only developer hasn't lost any steam. In a post on the official Splash Damage blog, CEO Paul Wedgwood outlined why this will be "the most significant year in our history." Read More »

Origin Adds Nine New Publishers, RIFT

By Nathan Grayson | PC News | Jan 24, 2012 1:19 PM | Comment

Origin may not exactly be receiving perfume-scented love letters and boombox-borne midnight odes from PC gamers, but EA's not going down without a fight. Or going down at all, for that matter. And now, the service has nine more familiar faces in its corner. Read More »

Recently, a number of Battlefield 3 players found themselves dishonorably discharged from service without any explanation. So they piped up on the game's official forums and got quite the enlightening response. Just not from DICE. Read More »

DCS: P-51D Mustang Announced

By Mike Nelson | PC News | Jan 24, 2012 12:54 PM | Comment

Much has been said about the work needed to get an A-10 off the tarmac in DCS: A-10C Warthog. Just wait until we have a chance to get a vintage P-51D up in the air. The Fighter Collection and Eagle Dynamics are working hard to bring the classic World War II aircraft to the Digital Combat Simulation (DCS) growing library of aircraft to go alongside the aforementioned A-10C and the well-received DCS: Black Shark helicopter simulator. Shine a little light on 2K's upcoming gore-fest shooter with the 1.6GB demo, now available on Steam. Indie Royale Unleashes Serious Sam Bundle

By Nathan Grayson | PC News | Jan 24, 2012 10:19 AM | Comment

Another day, another indie bundle. But honestly, it's hard to complain when publishers suddenly start throwing games at you for very little money. Such is the case with Indie Royale's Serious Sam Lightning Pack, which brings you four games for the price of... well, my math is fuzzy. An eighth of one? It's a really good deal, is what I'm saying. Darksiders 2 Preview

By Mike Nelson | PC Previews | Jan 24, 2012 8:00 AM | Comment

The personification of Death in Darksiders 2 isn't quite what I was expecting. I was looking for the trickster chess playing version from Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey, or maybe the silent and menacing Ghost of Christmas Future, or maybe the calculating soft-spoken type from Supernatural (shut up, I like that show). So when I see him climbing and wall-running, firing a pistol, or platform-jumping through a flaming dungeon, it took me by surprise. Read More »

Preview: Gettysburg: Armored Warfare

By Dan Stapleton | PC Previews | Jan 24, 2012 12:09 AM | Comment

Viewed from afar, Gettysburg Armored Warfare looks a little like a Total War game set during the American Civil War, with hundreds of blue and gray soldiers marching toward each other in formation as artillery explodes all around them, sending bodies (and pieces thereof) ragdolling through the air. But as the camera zooms in, things that aren't quite historically accurate start to stand out -- like how, alongside the authentic 1860's rifleman, you've got a Union soldier wearing a powered exoskeleton on his upper body that enables him to carry a full-on minigun. Diablo III Getting More Fixes, Senior Blizzard Producer Leaves

By Nick Winter | PC News | Jan 22, 2012 3:32 AM | Comment

How long have we been waiting for Diablo III now? Years... decades... an eternity? It sure feels like it. Only those programming gods over at Blizzard know exactly when this almighty action-RPG will be hitting our shelves, and, in the meantime, all we can do is wait and speculate. However, if the latest update on the Diablo III website is anything to go by, we could be waiting a long time yet, because Blizzard intends on implementing a number of fixes to the game before release. In other Diablo news, a senior producer has also left the project (and the company). Read More »
