A Look into Roger Corman's World

Roger Corman, we love thee. Corman is responsible for just about everything you see in Hollywood. The producer/director has tackled the likes of breaking ground in what is deemed safe for the masses with his frenzy of blood and naked bodies, discovered talent the likes of Jack Nicholson, opened the floodgates of creativity for visionaries such as Ron Howard, and provided us with some riveting B-movies all the same.

Now, Roger Corman is being celebrated with a documentary on the fast-paced life of Hollywood's ultimate back-alley superstar. Dubbed Corman's World: Exploits of a Hollywood Rebel, the documentary interviews everyone from Nicholson to Howard to Robert Di Nero to blaxsploitation superstar Pam Grier, asking them their personal experiences with the visionary who turned the world of movie-making upside-down throughout the '60s, '70s, and '80s.

Corman's World: Exploits of a Hollywood Rebel is coming to home video, but details of the release are scarce. DVD and Blu-ray editions are in the works for the film, and the release date is March 27, 2012 from Starz Home Entertainment. Amazon has listed the DVD at the MSRP of $26.98, with the Blu-ray costing slightly more at $29.99.
