
Dota 2 Heroes: Nature's Prophet

A lot of people are intimately familiar with DotA, its massive roster of heroes, and its complex inner workings. This isn't for you. This is a series where we talk about the roster of Dota 2 hero by hero from a broad perspective. We know that entering into Dota 2 is going to be daunting for a lot of people, and choosing a hero is no simple task. We hope this helps you make that choice.
Today we're talking about Nature's Prophet, an Intelligence hero. Unlike most Intelligence heroes, Nature's Prophet does hardly any damage with his abilities. Instead, he favors extreme mobility and the ability to trap enemies. His first skill, Sprout, produces a ring of trees in a target location. If you throw it on an enemy, they'll be trapped in the ring until the trees vanish, which can take a good five seconds. With Nature's Call, Prophet can turn those (or any other) trees into an army of treants that do a little damage.
But it's Teleportation, that lets him teleport anywhere on the map that an ally has seen, that makes Nature's Prophet powerful. His ultimate, Wrath of Nature, deals increasing damage as it bounces between enemies in order from closest to furthest from the target location. It can be cast anywhere on the map, but takes the right situation to be truly devastating.
