for the awesome game called Assassin's Creed. This FAQ will explain all
the details of Altair and Desmond's objectives and full tips on getting
the best possible kills per assassination.

+++ THE HEADS-UP-DISPLAY +++
--GPS:
The GPS at the bottom right corner of your screen shows your next
objective and other information.
--GLITCHES:
Press ANY BUTTON when you see a glitch during a scene to view it in
another perspective.
--FREE STEP:
Press and hold the RT BUTTON and the A BUTTON (with the Left Analog
Stick) to jump from object to object.
--LOCK-ON TARGET:
Press the LT BUTTON to lock on to your target.
--ASSASSINATION:
Press the X BUTTON for a LOW PROFILE kill or press and hold the RT
BUTTON and the X BUTTON for a HIGH PROFILE kill.
--WALLING:
Press and hold the RT BUTTON and the A BUTTON (with the Left Analog
Stick) to run up the wall.
--CLIMBING:
Press and hold the RT BUTTON and the A BUTTON (with the Left Analog
Stick) towards a wall to start climbing. Use the LEFT ANALOG STICK to
navigate while climbing.
--EAVESDROP:
Sit on a nearby bench and lock on the target to begin eavesdropping.
Find the people to eavesdrop with the RIGHT ANALOG STICK and then press
the LT BUTTON to lock on. Press the Y BUTTON to eavesdrop.
--PICK POCKET:
In Low Profile, press and hold the B BUTTON to pickpocket someone while
they're walking.
--INTERROGATION:
Follow the locked-on target to a secluded place and beat him until he
speaks.
--HIDING POINTS:
When Altair is spotted by guards or soldiers, his status will be in RED
MODE. Run away from the soldiers until his status turns into YELLOW
MODE. From there, Altair has two ways of hiding: stacks of hay and
rooftop shelters. When you find one of these, hide inside until
Altair's status turns GREEN.

+++ COMBAT CONTROLS +++
--HIGH PROFILE ASSSASSINATION:
Assassinations are performed with the HIDDEN BLADE. Approach an enemy
from behind (or from the front, if they don't suspect you) and then
press the RT BUTTON and the X BUTTON to assassinate them in a stylish
manner.
--LOW PROFILE ASSASSINATION:
If you don't want to cause a stir among the crowds (or other soldiers),
approach the enemy and then simply press the X BUTTON to stab them in
the back or the gut. When successful, Altair will not be detected and
can walk away from the scene.
--DEFLECT:
Press and hold the RT BUTTON (when weapon is unsheathed) to deflect
attacks. This is a defensive stance.
--COMBO KILL:
Press the X BUTTON to attack. Press the X BUTTON again as soon as your
sword makes contact. Press it numerous times if needed. This move
usually works best when fighting against lesser soldiers. For the
heavily armored guards, use the Counterattack.
--COUNTER ATTACK:
Press the X BUTTON before an enemy strikes to counter them while in a
defensive stance. For certain counters, you may need to press the
attack button 2-3 times more to complete the attack.
--GRAB BREAK:
Press the B BUTTON when an enemy grabs you to cancel out the move while
in a defensive stance. This move is only useful to Altair when fighting
soldiers and guards on the rooftops or near the Docks (in the Middle
District of Jerusalem). Usually when a guard is thrown from a high
ledge, he'll die from the fall or drown (if near water).
--DODGE MOVE:
Press the A BUTTON while in a defensive stance to dodge an enemies
attack. You can also dodge if an enemy breaks your guard. When you
dodge an attack, press the attack button for a follow-up attack. The
timing for this move is a bit tricky but it'll save you from getting
cheaply damaged by the enemy.
--GUARD BREAK
Press the X BUTTON after using a STEP move. This attack is not really
that useful but it works best against the heavily armored guards and
Templar Knights.

+++ ASSASSINATION MEMORY +++
This section will explain the necessary steps in getting the
information for your intended assassination target. In various areas of
certain districts, Altair may need to do these objectives more than
once to complete the Ribonucleic memory cell.
++EAVESDROPPING
When eavesdropping on a conversation, Altair needs to sit on a nearby
bench. Press the Lock-on button on the conversing party and then press
the Y BUTTON to listen in. Remember, Altair needs to be SITTING!
++PICKPOCKETING
The first few tries of pick pocketing may be a little frustrating but
all it takes is patience. When you lock-on to the intended target, stay
still as soon as the conversation ends. The target will start looking
behind him every few seconds. When he starts walking, quickly approach
him and press and hold the B BUTTON to grab his wares.
If Altair is caught, run away and then come back to the same area when
the coast is clear to re-trigger the objective.
++INTERROGATING
Usually, the people that Altair needs to interrogate are the "street
preacher" guys. When you find them on the GPS, they're usually shouting
their jibber-jabber to the crowd. As soon as they stop talking, follow
the person to a nearby empty area and then beat the crap out of him.
In later Memory Blocks, Interrogating a target will be less private
because they will start walking in public areas. With that in mind,
just go ahead and beat the crap out of them in front of everyone.
++INFORMERS
When Altair reaches Acre in Memory Block 3, he will encounter
Informers. These guys will give Altair some useful info but only after
he completes a certain task. Some Informers will ask you to assassinate
someone and others will ask you to find "flags" within the area.
Helping these guys is optional, but try it anyway!
++ASSASSINATING A TARGET
Once Altair collects all the necessary information, go to the
Assassin's Bureau to get approval. From there, Altair can begin the
assassination attempt. Go to the target's location on the GPS to
trigger a cutscene of the target.
Once the long cutscene ends, Altair can then approach the target and
kill him. Usually, the best way to kill your target is to do it in a
quick fashion (Low Profile kill). Select the HIDDEN BLADE and then
slowly approach the target and assassinate him from behind.
++COMPLETING AN ASSASSINATION
Once Altair's target is dead, he still needs to escape from the
soldiers that are pursuing him. Escape using the rooftops and head back
to the Assassin's Bureau to complete the mission.
+++ OPTIONAL OBJECTIVES +++
--SAVING CITIZENS
The whole point of saving a citizen is so that they can "help" you for
your services. When Altair saves a citizen from bully soldiers, the
citizen will repay Altair by telling him the location of either a group
of Scholars or a group of Vigilantes (the camera pans towards them once
you finish speaking to the citizen). Altair can use the Scholars or
Vigilantes to his advantage when blending or fighting guards.
Be aware that as you continue saving citizens after Memory Block 3, the
fights will get longer (and cheaper) because more soldiers will join
the battle and attack Altair from all directions.
--VIEWPOINTS
Altair's GPS does not show the entire area of a certain District when
he arrives there (it'll be blurred in the map). In order to complete
the GPS Map for that area, he needs to climb various towers and
synchronize the Viewpoint into this GPS. By Memory Block 4, Altair will
not have any objectives on his GPS until he manually synchronizes every
Viewpoint of that District.
--FLAGS
Every part of the city that Altair visits is scattered with Flags to
find. Some are found on rooftops and others are hidden in corners. What
does collecting every flag garner you? Absolutely nothing! Okay, maybe
some Achievement Points, but are you really THAT hungry for points?

When the game begins, a set of instructions will quickly show on the
screen in rapid succession. Ignore them and simply walk around the area
until a cutaway occurs. Now comes the easy part. When Desmond's
perspective is facing up, move the camera to the left to watch Lucy
(Kristen Bell). Listen to the conversation until the tutorial begins.

+++ SOLOMON'S TEMPLE +++
--MAIN OBJECTIVE: RETRIEVE THE ARTIFACT FROM WITHIN SOLOMON'S TEMPLE
Move Altair forward and follow the onscreen instructions to learn how
to jump past the wooden scaffoldings. Press and hold the RT Button and
the A Button together and Altair will do the rest automatically. Keep
moving forward and climb the ladder to the top. At the top, Altair will
encounter a guard. Lock on to him and kill him however you want and
then move on to the tomb to trigger a cutscene with some baddies.
During the cutscene, be aware that Altair can move around. Once the
conversation ends, go down the ladders to the bottom arena to encounter
the bad guy. Make any decision you want to trigger the next section.
The next section is a simple exercise in learning how to jump and
maneuver around a Prince-Of-Persia-type of environment. Maneuver Altair
around the scaffoldings (any direction is fine) to the top and then
hightail it outta there!

--MAIN OBJECTIVE: RETURN TO AL MUALIM
Test out your blending skills in the village. Altair cannot talk to
anyone nor can he assassinate anyone. Also, test out your rooftop
skills and climb around the rooftops. Accustom yourself to Altair's
controls and explore the village.
Once you're done canoodling with the natives, make your way to the
north side up to the castle (you can't miss it). Go all the way to the
entrance doorway to trigger a cutscene. After the cutscene, enter the
castle and head up the stairs. Go to the back of the room to trigger a
cutscene with Al Mualim. Once the cutscene ends, it's battle time!
--MAIN OBJECTIVE: REMOVE THE TEMPLARS FROM MASYAF
It's Twing-Twang time! Rush down the castle to the village. Now is the
first taste of combat for Altair and you better bring the pain! If
you've played Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox, then use this piece of advice:
USE COUNTER ATTACKS.
Select the Longsword (D-PAD RIGHT) and then approach the enemy. Instead
of button mashing, hold the Block Button and then when the enemy is
about to strike, press the X Button to trigger a counterattack. By
doing this, it saves Altair the frustration of having to do useless
back and forth sword swinging.
Eliminate a bunch of soldiers and continue to work your way down to the
village market. Once you make it to the bottom of the village, the game
triggers the next scenario.
--OBJECTIVE: USE THE ELEMENT OF SURPRISE
After the cutscene, take the ladder to the very top of the tower and
then watch the cutscene. When prompted, dive off the board using a LEAP
OF FAITH to the area below. Ignore your assassin buddies (they can take
care of themselves) and continue the objective.
Across from where Altair landed is a wooden scaffolding beam. Approach
the beam and tiptoe your way to the other side. Shimmy past two more
beams to the next tower. For the next part, Altair needs to climb the
tower to the top.
Press and hold the RB BUTTON and the A BUTTON and Altair will do the
rest (you don't need to hold the buttons once Altair starts climbing).
Once you reach the top, approach the ledge and press the ATTACK button
to trigger a cutscene and to end the first Memory Block.

After the cutscene, you take control of Desmond Miles. Right now,
Desmond can't do anything, so just make your way into the bedroom area.
Enter into the bathroom and then INTERACT next to the doorway to
trigger a seriously pointless cutscene.
Once control goes back to Desmond, go back outside and wait for the
Doctor and Lucy. As Lucy prances around the lab, approach her and talk
to her. Desmond will reveal a few tidbits about himself while Lucy
looks like she could give a rat's ass. Once the conversation with her
is over, go to the bedroom and go to sleep. Mmmm, sweet dreams of
Veronica Mars...
--THE FOLLOWING MORNING...
When Desmond wakes up, listen to the boring-ass doctor and then make
your way to the Animus to begin the next Memory Block.

--MAIN OBJECTIVE: INVESTIGATE AND FIND MASYAF'S TRAITOR
--OBJECTIVE #1: GO TO THE MARKET TO EAVESDROP
Altair will be completely stripped of his weapons for this section.
With that in mind, exit the castle and head outside the gates to
trigger a cutscene with a fellow assassin.
After he tells you some important info, make your way all the way down
to the market square (follow the GPS). Once you get near the intended
targets, sit on the nearby bench and then lock-on to the two guys and
then start eavesdropping. Once the conversation ends, the next
objective will appear.
--OBJECTIVE #2: FIND THE BASKET WEAVER AND PICKPOCKET HIM
Follow the GPS to find the stupid basket weaver. Lock on to the basket
weaver from a good distance away to listen on his conversation. Once
he's done talking, it's time to PICK POCKET!
Anytime Altair has to pick a target's pocket, be aware that the target
is being very careful of someone following him. When the basket weaver
walks away, let him walk a few feet away so he doesn't suspect you.
After a couple of seconds, follow him from behind and then pick his
pocket by pressing and holding the B BUTTON as you approach him.
If done correctly, Altair will snatch the item from the basket weaver
without any problems. If he misses, Altair will need to do it over
again, so TAKE YOUR TIME. Once the items have been confiscated, the
next objective will appear onscreen.
--OBJECTIVE #3: FIND MASUN NEAR THE CYPRESS TREE AND INTERROGATE HIM
Follow the GPS to find Masun. He's the one that's ranting and babbling
like a street evangelist, so he's not difficult to find. Lock on to him
to begin the INTERROGATION. When he walks away towards the empty
secluded bench, approach him and just beat the crap out of him until he
starts talking. Once he's done babbling, the next scenario will start.
--OBJECTIVE #4: BRING MASUN BEFORE AL MUALIM
This is only a cutscene, so watch what happens. Once the scene ends,
Altair will receive a couple of weapons back plus a new objective.
++NEW WEAPON GAINED: SWORD
++NEW WEAPON GAINED: HIDDEN BLADE
Make your way out of the castle to start a weapons training simulation.
--OBJECTIVE: LEARN SOME NEW MOVES
Follow the instructions onscreen to learn how to DEFLECT and perform a
COMBO KILL. Complete each one three times to complete the training for
those two moves. Now exit Masyaf and make your way to the gates. Get on
a trusty steed and gallop out of Masyaf.

+++ THE KINGDOM +++

--THE KINGDOM VIEWPOINTS OBJECTIVE

Once you enter the Kingdom, there's a ton of things Altair can do
before he rides into Damascus. He can search for Kingdom Viewpoints,
King Richard Flags, or find Templar Knights to kill. Let me breakdown
each one:
++THE KINGDOM VIEWPOINTS (12 of 12)
There are 12 Viewpoints in the entire Kingdom area that Altair can
access and is indicated on Altair's map. Each Viewpoint is found on the
top of a large tower (usually guarded by Templar soldiers). Climb the
tower all the way to the top and then press the Y BUTTON to synchronize
the view into Altair's map. After the area is synchronized, Altair can
perform a LEAP OF FAITH to get to the ground. Only 8 of the 12 are
accessible to Altair in Memory Block 2. The rest of the Viewpoints can
be accessed in Memory Block 3.
++KING RICHARD FLAGS (100 of 100)
There are over 100 King Richard Flags scattered all over each area of
the Kingdom. Most are found on rooftops and others are found behind
buildings. Look through every nook and cranny of each area to find one.
++TEMPLAR KNIGHTS (60 of 60)
There are a bunch of Templar Knights scattered through every area of
the game. Most of them are found in the Kingdom. A Templar Knight is
usually found standing in front of a treasure chest or in a secluded
corner (wearing a giant tin can on his head for armor). Approach and
kill him to complete the 60 of 60 Templar Knight objective.
Once you're done collecting all the stuff, ride into Damascus to the
next objective.

+++ DAMASCUS - POOR DISTRICT +++

--MAIN OBJECTIVE: SPEAK WITH THE BUREAU LEADER IN DAMASCUS

--OPTIONAL OBJECTIVE: ACCESS NINE VIEWPOINTS OF THE POOR DISTRICT
--OPTIONAL OBJECTIVE: FIND THE DAMASCUS FLAGS
When Altair arrives, he will encounter a civilian being bullied by
Templar soldiers. Mount off the horse and start slicing down some
soldier dickheads! Altair will NOT have the Counter attack in his move
set, so rely on using COMBO KILLS to fend them off. Once the soldiers
are dead, speak with the civilian.
++CIVILIAN NOTE: It's up to you if you want to save the rest of the
citizens in the Poor District. It's not an important, but do it anyway!
--OBJECTIVE: ENTER DAMASCUS
Now it's time to enter into Damascus. In order to enter, Altair needs
to BLEND in with the crowd. Search for the SCHOLARS (the ones in white
that walk and pray) roaming around the area, walk up to them, and then
press the A BUTTON to blend in with them. Let them walk into Damascus
and then break away from them to do whatever you want.
From here, Altair is free to do whatever he wants. If you want, save
some civilians (indicated on Altair's map), search for the Damascus
flags, or start searching for all nine Viewpoints. If not, then Altair
must collect info on his next intended assassination target. All the
objectives below are self-explanatory. You should already know how to
do all this stuff, so GET TO IT ALREADY!
--OBJECTIVE #1: EAVESDROP
--OBJECTIVE #2: PICK POCKET
--OBJECTIVE #3: INTERROGATE
On Altair's GPS, new objectives will start popping up every few minutes
after his current objective has been completed. Collect every piece of
info by eavesdropping on certain people, picking people's pockets, and
interrogating some baddies.
Once all that stuff has been collected, make your way to the Assassin's
Bureau (on the GPS) for approval and to get some rest. DO NOT go to the
Bureau until Altair has EVERY piece of information!
--MAIN OBJECTIVE: ASSASSINATE TAMIR
It's assassination time! Exit the Bureau and follow the GPS to find
Tamir's location. Once you get there, you will be treated to a gruesome
scene. Listen in on the conversation. Once the scene ends, find Tamir
and lock on to him. Approach him from behind and assassinate him using
your HIDDEN BLADE (D-PAD UP). If you need to assassinate some soldiers
to clear the area near Tamir, then DO IT!
If you miss, it's better to let Tamir kill you so that you can start
the assassination over. Once Tamir is dead, a cutscene will occur.
After the cutscene ends, run away from the soldiers until it is clear
(use hiding points). With the path clear, make your way BACK to the
Assassin's Bureau to complete Memory Block 2.

assassination by talking to the Informer again. Once the target is
successfully killed, approach the Informer to receive the info.
++INFORMER #2 NOTE: The second Informer wants you to find 20 Masyaf
Flags that he has hidden in the area within three minutes. All the
flags are within the nearby area and are usually on the rooftops. Jump
your way around the area (the flags are in a circular path) to find all
20 and then approach the Informer to get the info.
Complete all the necessary objectives in whichever order to complete
the Assassination Memory. Once all of the info is collected, go to the
Assassin's Bureau for approval. When you're ready, locate the
assassination target on the GPS.

--OBJECTIVE: ASSASSINATE GARNIER DE NAPLOUSE
Garnier can be found inside the hospital building. Approach the
building to trigger a painful cutscene. Once the cutscene ends, enter
the hospital using the doorway on the right side. Walk around the area
until you find Garnier. BE CAREFUL THOUGH! There are a couple of SUPER
annoying patients that will approach Altair and shove him. They don't
do any damage, but they are goddamn annoying as hell! If they push you,
assassinate their stupid asses, it's worth it.
Anyway, when you approach Garnier, make sure that he is tending to a
patient before assassinating him. When he starts talking to a patient,
approach him from behind and use a Low Profile assassination. If you
miss, DO NOT fight against Garnier! He is a strong opponent and will
definitely kill you. Let him kill off Altair and then just restart the
assassination (watch out for those goddamn shoving patients).
Once Garnier is dead, fight off the soldiers in the hospital and then
hightail it outta there! Use the rooftops to escape back to the
Assassin's Bureau. Once you get there, the mission ends. Watch the
cutscene with Al Mualim to receive your next objective and to regain
some abilities.

--OBJECTIVE: LEARN THE COUNTERATTACK
Exit the castle to encounter your soldier buddy. When you enter the
training ring, follow the onscreen directions to learn the
counterattack. Counter your opponent three times to complete training.
Once you're done messing around, exit Masyaf and ride into Jerusalem.
Continue searching for more Kingdom Viewpoints and King Richard Flags
as you approach Jerusalem! If not, then ride into Jerusalem for the
next assassination mission.

Exit the Bureau and make your way to the North where Talal's warehouse
is located. The entrance will be guarded by soldiers, so you'll need to
sneak in via the Scholars. A group of Scholars will be waiting near the
entrance, so blend in with them to get inside. If not, then just kill
your way inside, who cares.
Talal is located in the back of the warehouse (near the street
evangelist guy). Enter inside to trigger a cutscene. When prompted,
enter the center of the warehouse and prepare for a battle with some
soldiers. Kill them all using Counter attacks and then climb the ladder
to the top. Follow Talal to the rooftops and chase after him.
Sprint after him and assassinate him when he bumps into the crowd. Once
he's dead, watch the cutscene. Now it's time to escape! Flee from the
guards and look for hiding points. When it's safe, make your way back
to the Assassin's Bureau to end the mission and Memory Block 3.

Approach the Animus computer that Lucy uses to find an Access Key Pen.
From there, go to bed.
--THE FOLLOWING MORNING:
Listen to the Doctor's jibber-jabber and then follow him outside. DO
NOT get on the Animus just yet! The Doctor will stand near his desk
looking outside the window. Approach him and press the B BUTTON to
confiscate his Access Key Pen. Once that's done, enter the Animus to

Watch the cutscene with Al Mualim to receive three new missions. Once
the cutscene ends, Altair will receive two crucial new abilities.

--OBJECTIVE: LEARN THE GRAB BREAK
Exit the castle to encounter your soldier buddy (again) to start
training for the Grab Break move. Use the Grab Break three times to
complete training. From there, exit out of Masyaf and ride into the
Kingdom for more hi-larious hijinks.
++TELEPORTATION NOTE: From Memory Block 4 and on, Altair will no longer
need to ride through the Kingdom to reach his destination. As soon as
you gallop out of Masyaf, you will be given the option to go to
Damascus, Jerusalem, Acre, or the Kingdom. Choose either destination to
automatically be transported to the destination entrance.
If you choose to ride into the Kingdom, then continue searching for
more King Richard Flags and some more Templars to kill. Once you're
done with all of that, continue your objective. This walkthrough will
begin in Damascus.

Once you reach the Damascus gates, dismount from your horse and search
for the Scholars. Blend in with them to enter Damascus. There is
nothing for Altair to do in the Poor District, so make your way to the
Assassin's Bureau for new info.
The man will tell Altair to go to the west. From there, exit the Bureau
and make your way to the western area (the Rich District). Once you get
there, Altair will have NO objectives on his GPS. Wanna know why?
--OBJECTIVE: ACTIVATE THE OBJECTIVES ON THE GPS
In order for Altair to receive his objectives, he needs to climb one of
the towers in the Rich District to synchronize his GPS. Go up to the
rooftops and locate the nearest tower and climb it to the top. If
possible, search for the absolute highest tower in the Rich District.
Synchronize the area so that Altair will have a list of objectives.
Once the GPS is synchronized, Altair can continue his mission. Now
comes the same ol', same ol'

in a sort of zig-zag pattern within the area. Collect them all and
bring them to the Informer for the info.
++INFORMER #2: This Informer wants you to assassinate two of Abul
Nuqoud's guards within three minutes. Approach the guards quickly and
use Low Profile kills on both of them. Once that's done, return to the
Informer for the info.

--OBJECTIVE: ASSASSINATE ABUL NUQOUD
Go back to the Bureau and speak with the man inside to receive
approval. Once that's done, make your way to Abul's Palace for the
assassination. Enter the Palace by scaling the gates and then entering
through the front door.
Make your way inside and walk towards the front of the party to trigger
a cutscene with Abul. After his LOOONG speech, all of the guests in the
courtyard (including Altair) will be shot with arrows from above.
Quickly go to the LEFT side of the Palace and scale the large building
going up. Jump to the balcony floor and eliminate the soldiers that get
in your way. Climb up to the roof (near the Viewpoint tower) and then
jump down to the balcony where Abul was speaking.
Eliminate his two stupid guards and then chase after Abul (EQUIP THE
HIDDEN BLADE). Run around the guards that get in the way and keep
running until you can get a High Profile kill on Abul. Once he's dead,
a cutscene will occur.
After the cutscene, run and hide from the soldiers. When the coast is
clear, make your way back to the Bureau to end the mission. Fast
Forward to Al Mualim and watch the cutscene to receive two more new
crucial abilities:
++NEW ABILITY GAINED: REGAIN BALANCE & DODGE
++NEW ABILITY GAINED: SWORD EXPERTISE (DAMAGE)
--OBJECTIVE: LEARN THE DODGE MOVE
Exit the castle to speak with your soldier buddy. Yes, AGAIN. The Dodge
move is the second most crucial move to Altair (aside from the
Counterattack). Anytime that Altair's guard is broken, press the Dodge
command to avoid getting hit and the use a Combo Kill on the enemy.
Once that's done, exit Masyaf and the gallop to the next area: ACRE.

Enter the Poor District by either using the Scholars or by sneaking on

From there, exit the Bureau and mark an area on the southwest corner of
Altair's map. When you reach the Rich District, scale the roofs and
search for the closest Viewpoint tower that you can find. If you're
daring, go to the large church and try scaling it to the top. Getting
to the top is a bit tricky but you will reach the highest Viewpoint in
the game. Climb that tower and then synchronize the GPS to activate
Altair's objectives. Once that's done, it's the SAME OL', SAME OL'.

location of the first flag might confuse you, but it's literally in the
alleyway right next to the Informer (on the right side). Jump and
tumble your way from the rooftops in the immediate area to find all the
flags and then return to the Informer for the info.

William is located in the castle at the very southeast end of the Rich
District (it's the castle across from where you met the Masyaf Flags
Informer). When you arrive in the area, a cutscene will occur outside
the gates. Once the scene ends, make your way inside the castle (no
need to be incognito).
William will be located on the east side of the castle and it can only
be accessed by using the rooftops. Climb and jump to the roofs and
locate William from above. From Altair's high perspective, lock-on to
William and toss all your Throwing Knives at him.
DO NOT climb down to William's area! Instead, let him climb up to you
(with his soldier lackeys). Equip the HIDDEN BLADE and just go for the
assassination in front of his soldiers to trigger a cutscene.
Once the cutscene ends, hightail it outta the castle! The gates will be
closed, so Altair will have to escape using the scaffoldings located
outside the castle walls. Climb and jump your way all the way to the
front of the castle (from the top) and then look for the scaffoldings
on the west side of the front castle. Drop down to them and then
hightail it back to the Bureau to end the mission. Fast Forward to Al
Mualim and watch the cutscene to receive a new weapon.
++NEW WEAPON GAINED: EXTRA THROWING KNIVES
Exit the castle and head for the Masyaf exit (your soldier buddy is
done training you, so he won't appear anymore). Gallop out of Masyaf to
the last destination of Memory Block 4: Jerusalem.

Templar Guards. Two of them are on the ground and the other is on a
rooftop. If you cannot approach the rooftop guard, then use Throwing
Knives. Assassinate the rooftop guard first and then get the other two.
Return to the Informer once their dead for some info.
++INTERROGATION NOTE: You'll need to beat up the target in a public
setting. You may need to fend off those other doofus guys in leather,
but focus on beating the info out of the guy to complete the objective.

OBJECTIVE: ASSASSINATE MAJD ADDIN
Once all the info is collected, bring it back to the man in the Bureau
and then get ready for the assassination. Exit the Bureau and make your
way to Solomon's Temple via the rooftops.
Blend in with the crowd and watch the cutscene. After the cutscene,
prepare for an ambush. Majd Addin and a couple of soldiers will fight
you off. Use counterattacks on the soldiers and get as close to Majd as
possible (he won't run away). Weaken him with counters when possible
until Altair assassinates him.
Watch the cutscene with Majd and then stay put! Eliminate the rest of
Majd's soldiers instead of running away from them. Kill them all to
clear the path back to the Bureau. Once you make it back to the Bureau,
the Memory is complete!

Sibrand is located at the Docks. Make your way there and watch the
cutscene. After the cutscene, it's time to find Sibrand. He will take
his little sailboat to his pirate ship on the west end of the docks.
Altair does NOT need to fight the guards that block the Docks. He can
just jump from the Docks to the nearby boats and then jump from ship to
ship. Make it to the large pirate ship and Sibrand will get spooked and
run away. Quickly run after him as he runs towards the Middle District
and try to assassinate him with a High Profile kill.
If Altair loses him, he will have to fight Sibrand and bunch of his
soldiers. Once Altair weakens Sibrand (the one wearing the ugly-ass
helmet), he will automatically assassinate him and the cutscene will
occur. Once the scene ends, fight off the remaining guards and then
hightail it back to the Bureau to complete the mission. Fast forward to
Al Mualim and watch the cutscene. Altair will receive a new ability and
then he can ride off to the next location.

You should already know how to activate Altair's objectives. Go to the
Middle District (the last unexplored area) and search for the closest
Viewpoint tower. Climb the tower and synchronize it to the GPS to

Bring the info back to the Bureau and speak with the man so that he can
approve the assassination. From there, make your way to Jubair's area
via the rooftops or through the streets. Watch the cutscene and then
get ready for some eenie-meenie-minie-moe!
Once Jubair and his boys disperse, all of them will be considered a
target on the GPS. Since they all wear the same clothes, it's difficult
to tell which one is Jubair. Choose one of the targets on the GPS and
locate him. One of them is bound to be Jubair. You may get lucky and
find him first, but if you don't, then you may have to kill a bunch of
his decoy boys in order to find Jubair.
Once you find and assassinate Jubair, a cutscene will occur. Once the
cutscene ends, hightail it back to the Bureau to complete the mission
and Memory Block 5.

Access Lucy's computer and select the DELETED MESSAGES portion. Read
the e-mail letter entitled "??" and you will see a long conversation.
The top message looks like a spam e-mail but if you read it closely,
there is a message in the e-mail:
"WondEr Why It is everyone Laughs at you? i'll Let you guess. let's
just say she's proBably gEtTing it bigger and better from someone else
tHat isn't you. how can you hope to compEte? REst asSured there are
sOme gOod ways. click the liNk to see!"
To decode the message, eliminate all the lowercased letters and then
pile the capitalized letters together to form the message. I'll let you
figure it out for yourself. Once you're done toying with the letter, go
back to the bedroom and go to sleep.

Once all the info is gathered, go to the funeral grounds where Robert
is attending. Enter the churchyard by jumping over the large gates (via
the roofs). Watch the cutscene and prepare for a big battle.
As you fight off Robert and his Templar guards, you will also be
bombarded by arrows from archers. Move away from the graveyard to a
safer location to fight off the guards. Use lots of counter attacks on
the Templars and then use Combo kills when Robert is open.
Once you assassinate "Robert", a cutscene will occur showing that the
target is a decoy! After the cutscene, hightail it out of the graveyard
and back to the Bureau. From there, get out of the city and ride into
Arsun to find the REAL Robert De Sable.

--OBJECTIVE: FIND ROBERT DE SABLE AND ASSASSINATE HIM
To get to Arsun without problems, take a shortcut. Ride out to Acre
(use the teleport option, don't manually go there!) and then
immediately exit out of Acre towards the Kingdom. The entrance to Arsun
is in a small path next to the Acre entrance.
Once you get there, prepare for a massive battle royale! Ride into
Arsun and face off against three waves of soldiers. Use the Defense
Break move on all the soldiers to get the upper hand of the battle.
Since each enemy is trying to break your defense, that's what you
should also do to them. Fight them off and keep going downhill.
Defeat the waves of soldiers and make it towards King Richard. Watch
the cutscene and then approach King Richard to locate Robert De Sable.
Once the cutscene ends, prepare for a cheap battle! 6-7 soldiers will
fight against you, but it's nothing that you can't finish by now.
Once all the soldiers are dead, it's time to face off against Robert!
Simply use Counter attacks on Robert to weaken him considerably (you
can't damage him). After he's been weakened from several counter
attacks, Altair will assassinate him. Watch the cutscene and then
approach King Richard to complete this Memory Block.

Get ready for a bizarre turn of events. Run up to the castle and
prepare for battle. Eliminate two waves of cheap-ass soldiers by using
the counter attack. Once the second wave is gone, run up the hill and
meet with an old friend.
From there, make your way to the castle. Tackle your way past all the
stupid people and go to the back of the castle. Watch the cutscene and
then prepare for a 9-man boss battle against all of the men that you
assassinated (from Masun to Robert De Sable). All of them are easy
targets, so rely on counter attacks to kill all nine. Watch the next
cutscene and prepare for another nine-man clone battle.
Defeat the clones the same way you defeated the other hundreds of
soldiers: use counters and dodge moves to kill the clones. From there,
Al Mualim will appear in three different places. Defeat him in each
place until the real one appears.

Many of the Achievement Points in the game are pretty much self-
explanatory minus a few of them. I will give out hints for the
Achievements that may seem a bit difficult.
ABSOLUTE SYMBIOSIS - 45 ACHIEVEMENT POINTS
Extend Altair's health bar by 8 bars.
BLADE IN THE CROWD - 30 ACHIEVEMENT POINTS
Assassinate at least ONE of the main targets using the Hidden Blade.
CONVERSATIONALIST - 20 ACHIEVEMENT POINTS
Speak with Lucy after every Memory Block. There at least two
conversations per Block, so keep talking to her until she says "Aren't
you tired?"
DEFENDER OF THE PEOPLE: ACRE - 20 ACHIEVEMENT POINTS
Complete every objective for all three Districts in Acre.
DEFENDER OF THE PEOPLE - DAMASCUS - 20 ACHIEVEMENT POINTS
Complete every objective for all three Districts in Damascus.
DEFENDER OF THE PEOPLE - JERUSALEM - 20 ACHIEVEMENT POINTS
Complete every objective for all three Districts in Jerusalem.
DISCIPLE OF THE CREED - 30 ACHIEVEMENT POINTS
Assassinate all your targets with a full DNA bar. As you complete all
the objectives per District, Altair's health bar will increase. By the
end of the game, both bars of Altair's health should be filled.
EAGLE'S CHALLENGE - 20 ACHIEVEMENT POINTS
Defeat 25 guards in a single fight. The best time to complete this
Achievement is at the end of the game. When you ride into Arsun to
assassinate Robert, fight off the large waves of soldiers that appear.
Defeat them all without dying to get this Achievement.
EAGLE'S DANCE - 10 ACHIEVEMENT POINTS
Perform 50 Leaps Of Faith.
EAGLE'S DIVE - 20 ACHIEVEMENT POINTS
Perform 50 Combo Kills total.
EAGLE'S EYE - 15 ACHIEVEMENT POINTS
Kill 75 guards using Throwing Knives. Usually the best time to kill
guards with Throwing Knives is when jumping from rooftop to rooftop.
Lock-on to the rooftop guards, then toss one Throwing Knife at him for
