Mojang has announced that a new update will come to Minecraft: Pocket Edition in February. In a new blog post, Mojang's Daniel Kaplan announced the update, along with new details about what will be inside.
"We have read tons of comments and feedback and it seems like we made a huge mistake. You wanted monsters, resources, animals and more different blocks," Kaplan wrote. "This means that the initial code we had written didn't exactly fit with the new plan where we wanted to add all the stuff you have been asking for. So we have been reorganizing, rewritten and changed the whole plan."
According to Kaplan, the update will change the framework of the game in order to support future Survival aspects. Crafting will not be included, as Mojang will "need to redesign the GUI for it and it will need some iteration and thinking," but the update does include "neat looking animals and new blocks," as well as doors, fences and some bug fixes.
Mojang plans to submit the update by February 8th. After that, "Android Market and the iOS App Store must approve it and it will be in your hands."
