2011 was quite a year for actress Natalie Portman. Not only did she snag an Oscar back in February for her performance in Black Swan, but she also went on to appear in prominent movies such as Thor and Your Highness. Hell, she even snuck in a rom-com with Ashton Kutcher. Of course, the shoots for all of these films preceded Portman's high profile pregnancy.
But now that the actress has ditched the baby bump, inquiring minds would like to know, when will Portman return to the silver screen? Well, the LA Times' 24 Frames claims that Portman is now being courted for Andy and Lana Wachowski's upcoming sci-fi film Jupiter Ascending. And since the duo won't begin shooting until this fall, one source indicates that Portman is seriously considering taking the part -- the extra buffer would give the actress more time with her baby son Aleph while the Wachowskis wrap on their current project Cloud Atlas.
Jupiter Ascending would also mark Portman's second time working with the Wachowskis, having starred in their 2006 adaptation of V for Vendetta.
Meanwhile, Portman is also looking to move forward on her documentary about veganism based on Jonathan Safran Foer's book Eating Animals. She is still attached to reprise her role in Thor 2, although the recent departure of director of Patty Jenkins has left the actress none too pleased with the project.
