On 9.9.99 I stood outside a Toys 'r' Us with a few dozen others, waiting for the release of the SEGA Dreamcast. The first game I bought was Soulcalibur. And for good reason. It was Soulcalibur that showed that, finally, consoles had become superior to arcade cabinets. Run the arcade version of Soulcal side-by-side with that of the Dreamcast version and there was no denying the DC build was superior. The arcade was dead in America and the Dreamcast went on to become the most successful console in the history of... oh yeah, the Dreamcast failed. But my Soul still burns.
