The wait for any new gaming platform can be excruciating, but for the devoted and detail-oriented, it's possible to turn that anticipation into a memorable part of the experience. What'll be inside the package? What's the menu screen look like? What games are going to be on shelves on day 1? And, of course, what will the box arts look like?
As PlayStation Vita's launch date nears (December 17th in Japan; February 22 in North America and Europe,) publishers are gearing up to promote their upcoming games. The first set of Vita boxes have been sent to retailers, and while many of the designs are subject to change at this point, these first images are a good indicator of what to expect when you head out to stores looking for your first Vita games.
IGN has compiled many of these game boxes for you to view, and will update this feature as requested through to the Vita launch.
Enjoy.
