Sign Up For the Dust 514 Closed Beta
But only if you're an active EVE Online player.

Dust 514, the PlayStation 3-exclusive FPS set in the same universe as PC MMO EVE Online, has a closed beta coming soon. Better yet, as of December 23rd, developer CCP is allowing players to register for the closed beta, as long as they are already active EVE Online subscribers.
A developer blog at EVEOnline.com outted the information right before Christmas. "It is with great joy that I can now officially announce that registration for DUST 514: Mordu's Private Trials, our gated access beta test, has finally begun!" wrote a CCP representative.
Unfortunately, if you're not an EVE Online player, you'll have to wait for access. The post continues: "For now, registration is available exclusively to active subscribers of EVE Online who will join the pool of participants that we will be using to allow entry into early testing and special events for DUST 514." Therefore, while non-EVE players may have access in the future, only those active with the MMO currently will be able to sign up.
If you're confused why EVE Online players would have any interest in a PS3-exclusive shooter, the events of EVE Online and Dust 514 are set to intimately intertwine with one another, making for one robust, cross-platform universe that is affected by events in both games.
You can sign up for the beta here.
Amy comes to PSN and XBLA next week. But why are PSN gamers ...
