Paul Rudd, Owen Wilson, Kristen Wiig and Christopher Walken are all currently in talks to join the Errol Morris-directed cryogenics film Freezing People is Easy.

The story, which Deadline says is based on the memoir We Froze the First Man and an episode of This American Life, follows the true story of a 1960s TV repairman, Bob Nelson, who attempted to pioneer the process of freezing humans. He would later discover that the prospect was more difficult than he could possibly imagine.

Rudd has been attached to star as Nelson for some time now, although the current wild card is Wiig, who has been busy juggling a number of other projects and also wrapping up her run on SNL.

Freezing People is Easy is currently scheduled for a mid-2012 production start date. Stranger Than Fiction's Zach Helm penned the screenplay.
