Xenoblade Confirmed for United States

Nintendo has confirmed Xenoblade will be coming to United States. This is the full text of an update posted to Facebook:

"It's confirmed! Next year, Wii players throughout North America can wield the Monado blade and join the epic battle between the Homs and the Mechons in Xenoblade Chronicles. Like this post if you're ready for an adventure on the surface of two frozen Titans!"

One critical note to make here - the game is currently slated to come to the United States only, a fact that has been confirmed through an official Nintendo press release. There is no definitive word on a release for other North American territories at this moment.

Nintendo has revealed a release window of April 2012. Xenoblade will be offered as a GameStop exclusive at a MSRP of $49.99.

ORIGINAL STORY

RPG fans who participated in Operation Rainfall might be flush with pride if the following holds true.

A user on the NeoGAF forums by the name of Square Triangle posted an enticing, but blurry, picture of a Gamestop product list that shows Xenoblade Chronicles with an unconfirmed release date of April 3, 2012. The listing also suggests that the game would be a GameStop exclusive.

Meanwhile, Nintendo has also added art from the game to its official Facebook page, adding fuel to the rumor of a U.S. release.



If this proves true, then Nintendo fans have yet another excellent game to add to their library. For now, a U.S. release is unconfirmed, but stay tuned to IGN for further developments.
