How The Witness is progressing, complete with screenshots.

I saw The Witness a few months ago, and despite its early visuals was struck by the feelings it convyed. Set for release in 2012, Braid developer Jonathan Blow continues work on his next big project.
The details of that development can be read on his blog. In his most recent post he shares how they've been reworking the environments. While the originals were there to be mostly functional, the new ones (while not final), help set the tone and mood, and offer further hints about the story. The island has apparently been used by two different societies, and attentive players "may notice the elements of modern construction shoring up the design of an older structure with a different purpose," according to Blow.
To get the full read, you can go to the official Witness blog. For now, enjoy the before and after screenshots.
