Don your Santa Suit, shout your loudest "HO HO HO," and get ready to introduce the people of Skyrim to the joys of our holiday season, Dovahkiin style. We've gathered five festive mods to help you deck the halls of Skyrim for the season; read on for sharpened candy-cane weapons, lovely HD snowflakes, and even the chance to become Skyrim's very own arbiter of naughty and nice.

Festive Holiday Weapons Mod by kirkieball

The latest crafting craze: candy cane. Rumor has it this rare material comes from a peppermint dragon that eats reindeer and breaths hot cocoa. It's difficult stuff to work with (mostly because it gets eaten before it reaches the forge) it's currently only available for the Glass Dagger, Katana, and Hunting Bow. There are also some festive Jester Armor and Steel Shield versions.

Careful - those things get sharp.

Nicer Snowflakes Mod by evercharmer

Snowfall is a daily occurrence in northern Skyrim, so this mod is a good one to have year-round. Nicer Snowflakes swaps out the cotton ball-like flakes with pretty little high-resolution flakes of ice crystal. Grab a mug of cider and a sweet roll and watch from your window as the snow covers your world in white, just in time for Christmas.

Makes you want to run around gathering them on your tongue, doesn't it?

Skyrim Santa Claus by Psientist

Have the people of Skyrim been naughty or nice? Keep that list handy as you strap on the big-buckled red suit to carry as many presents and coal as your endurance will allow. Skyrim Santa Claus recolors the Fine Clothes outfit to resemble Old Saint Nick's wardrobe, and changes your "FUS RO DAH" shout to a jolly chorus of "HO HO HO!" And, well... if any grinchy NPCs don't leave you a tray of milk and cookies by their fireplace, you may just have to get out your Santa axe.

You've been a baaaaaad little bandit boy.

Lush Trees by OpticShooter

What's Christmas without a beautiful tree? Filling the world with more realistic conifers, Lush Trees fills out the foliage with extra branches and needles, making your walk through a winter wonderland even more breathtaking. (I recommend combining this one with Nicer Snowflakes.) Now we just need a mod that will let you chop one down, stick it in your home at Whiterun, and cover it in gold and bejeweled ornaments.

It's like Rogaine for the trees!

High-Quality Food and Ingredients Mod by Iraito

What Christmas would be complete without a feast of chicken, salmon steak, apple pie, sweet rolls, and errr… Skeever meat? High Quality Food and Ingredients modifies Skyrim's menu to sound tastier. So after harassing the town with your Santa shouts, stabbing people with candy canes, and taking a long walk through the lovely frosted forests, you can come home to a proper holiday dinner with Lydia.

Dovahkiin-Santa will also accept milk and pie.
