Enhanced Knowledge Sharing for Community Learning
Telecentre.org Foundation’s knowledge sharing initiative supports and cuts across all of our strategic program areas. We help connect members of the telecentre community and facilitate the sharing of ideas, resources, learning and best practices. In this way, we are able to build a vibrant and dynamic community that actively contribute to a sustainable telecentre ecosystem.
At the core of this initiative is a central repository of telecentre-related information accessible to all interested parties. This repository—a comprehensive telecentre-knowledge warehouse covering the entire movement from local to global initiatives—allows the engagement of telecentres around the world.
The following online information, tools and services are made available to members:
- Community sites in multiple languages (English, Spanish, French, Arabic, and Russian) – member interaction via blogs, forums, discussion groups, online events, photos and videos and more.
- Multi-media library on telecentre related knowledge assets — Books, journals, reports, research outputs, and best practices are available in multitude of languages for quick and easy reference.
- Publications
- Telecentre Magazine – a quarterly online and print publication providing in-depth reviews and analysis on issues related to public access to technology and on the telecentre movement worldwide.
- Telecentre.org Newsletter – a monthly look at news, events, and initiatives of Telecentre.org Foundation and its partners from around the world, delivered to your inbox.
