Scroll down for a casting update.

Vin Diesel's third Riddick movie ran into some money problems recently, with production being shut down when the producers couldn't pay the rent at the Montreal studio where the shoot was happening. But now reports indicate that the Furyan with the Most is getting back on track.

What's the deal with Riddick 3's money problems?

TMZ reports in a very TMZ way that "the production company scrounged up enough cash to pay off some long overdue bills."

The studio's owner says those bills have now been paid and "he's willing to allow the flick to pick up where it left off."

Meanwhile, several crewmembers have reportedly been waiting to get paid as well. TMZ's sources say that they too will be seeing their money soon. The site adds that filming will resume on December 28.

Update: Bloody Disgusting is now reporting on some cast additions to the film. Matthew Nable (K-11, Killer Elite) will play "Boss Johns," while the previously reported Andreas Apergis will play "Krone, commander of the dark theocracy" and Battlestar Galactica's Katee Sackhoff will take on the role of "Dahl, a Nordic merc tracking Riddick." Bokeem Woodbine (Total Recall) and wrestler Dave Bautista have also been cast.

Additionally, there's "strong interest" in adding both Cliff Curtis (Live Free or Die Hard) and Holt McCallany (Alien 3) to the cast.
