What Does Bane Know About Harvey Dent?

Bat spoilers follow!

Lots of bits and pieces about The Dark Knight Rises have come out of that new Empire set visit and interview with director Chris Nolan. That includes some new images which seem to link new baddie Bane to Harvey Dent/Two-Face from the last film.

What's the deal with Bane's mask and skull-crushing methodology?!
Within the pages of Empire, a shot of Tom Hardy's Bane can be spotted brandishing a picture of Dent, waving it around on the streets of Gotham for everyone to see. So here's the question: What does Bane know or care about this former DA who has been dead for the past eight years (yes, TDKR takes place almost a decade after the previous film)? Could it be that he's outing Batman and Commissioner Gordon for the lie they constructed at the end of the last movie? Does he know the truth about Harvey? Or is he just illustrating the inevitable fate of all of Gotham City's white knights?

Meanwhile, Nolan has also revealed that the "prologue" to Dark Knight Rises that is hitting IMAX screens next month will be "basically the first six, seven minutes of the film, [serving as] an introduction to Bane, and a taste of the rest of the film."

And lastly, in the realm of complete and total rumor, a site called The Dark Knight Rises Rumors claims that Nolan's Inception actress Ellen Page might be playing Barbara Gordon/Batgirl in the new film. Well, we'll see about that one… This one has already been debunked! Come on, what did you expect, people?
