Capcom has announced that Resident Evil Revelations will cost $50 when it's released next year. Most Nintendo 3DS games sell for a suggested retail price of $39.99, but Capcom will charge $10 extra because the game ships on a 4GB card instead of the system's usual 2GB.
"A true console experience on a handheld device, Resident Evil Revelations is an epic title that offers both a single-player campaign for that classic survival horror gaming experience, and an additional RAID mode that can be played cooperatively or single player," Capcom told Kotaku. "To handle all of that data Resident Evil Revelations requires a 4GB cartridge, resulting in a higher price point."
Previously, Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D was also confirmed to be on a 4GB card during E3 2011. Konami has not announced a price for Snake Eater 3D, and it hasn't been confirmed whether all 4GB 3DS games will carry the $50 price point or if it will be unique to Revelations.
Resident Evil Revelations will be released on February 7th in the United States.
