As always, please stay tuned to the Camelot Herald and the Vault for more information!
One thing about Dark Age of Camelot, it lends itself to a whole myriad of play styles. I got to thinking about all the different styles over the weekend. I personally like to just kick back in the evening after working all day and relax. Yes, I know I'm retired but I still work around the house. I like to log in and have fun running with friends. Then there are nights when I'm just not feeling quite up to it. I'm getting older, health issues and weather tend to bother me from time to time. On those nights, I like to just quietly catch up on crafting, clean out my vaults or just run around solo doing little, non-stressful things. Some nights I'm really into the RVR. BTW thanks guys. I haven't played my blademaster in quite a while. Last night was a blast! Other nights, I enjoy farming various drops or going over to Gaheris and doing a little PVE. Say what you will about the server but Ywain can never match the friendliness of the players over there, or the relaxed atmosphere. It tends to match my personality and play style more. I tend to be a more relaxed player. I like to play and have fun. I don't care if I die because unlike real life, I can always get a rez, see a healer and smith and I'm good as new! I have a 2 year old, and 5 dogs running around my house, so I do have to occasionally go afk for a few minutes here and there to tend to them. At times, things happen and I have to jump ship without much notice. I'm just here to have fun. Not create a reputation for myself or be the most elite player in the game.
I've kind of made my own definitions of play styles as I'm sure many of you have. There are the cut throats who think being the first one buffed and ready to go is important? They're the ones that have to win every battle and rage log when they don't. They'll drop you from group without a word if they die because naturally, it has to be your fault. You hear them in vent all the time and swear they're going to have a stroke the next time a Kobie tanks down their group. There are the leeches. They log into the game, get into a group, stick to someone and go AFK through 90% of their time in group and just collect on the xp, rp's and loot. The ship hoppers bounce from realm to realm or group to group until they find the most winning combination. The professionals tend to think they know everything there is about every class and every race in the game. They know every encounter and tell you how you should template, how you should play, and even who you should play with. They tend to run a lot with the cut throats and often the two are interchangeable. They forgot how to have fun because this is no longer a game to them. It's a profession! The late comers show up after the group has left and expect a spot in the group. They show up late to every posted raid. Get into a group, then get distracted by television, telephone, dinner cooking, etc. They don't answer you in vent or tells, then whine when the group leaves without them.
So,Topic of the Week wants to know about your play style. Are you typically one of the ones I listed above or a category all in your own?

The Hibs are big winners in this weekends RvR battles and the enemy realms are held off by an Albion female who came to help her realm. Find out who she is and what the Hibs took on NF Roundup
There is no doubt that at times, this game can be very frustrating. Trying to farm for a certain item you need for your template and sitting there for hours, when it just doesn't want to drop. Finding a group to run with, and getting killed trying to meet up with them. Being in the midst of an epic battle and going link dead. At times, this game and players can get the best of you.
One of the funniest phenomenon of gaming is the rage logging. Getting so frustrated or angry in game that you just log off, and in some instances quit the game. We've all experienced it, heard it, seen it caused it. It's been recorded and played back in vent and on you tube. Everyone has seen the epic rage logs such as "who stole my cloudsong". I will admit, I've had my fair share of incidents that have brought me to log early, or go off by myself for a day or 2 to just solo on an unknown, unguilded toon. Not finding a group within my alliance is the most frustrating for me. However, I don't think I've ever had an epic meltdown in game, and I've never quit playing altogether.
How about you? Has anything brought you to the point of rage logging or quitting game? Have you witnessed a rage log so epic you'll never forget it? Topic of the Week and inquiring gamers want to know!

The Ring from the recent Pendragon testing has not been forgotten, Kai sends word that it will arrive soon! The Herald
"With version 1.110 and the follow-up adjustments out the door its about time to say thank you to all of you who helped us testing this version on Pendragon"
Kai brings us news that tomorrow, November 18, due to the maintenance of their Internet Service Provide, all servers will be offline tomorrow. This is set to take place at 11:45pm EST (4:45am UTC). They hope to have the servers back online no later than 3:00 am EST (8:00am UTC).
For more information regarding the maintenance, please visit the Camelot Herald.
Since Ywain1 housing always seems to be full or it's impossible to find a place to call your own, we've spent our time over the last 2 weeks going through Ywain1 housing on all realms and making note of which lots are vacant, and which are soon scheduled for repossession.
So, if you're looking for a house lot on Ywain 1, worry no more! We've found loads of vacant lots, and lots that'll soon be vacant. Albion, Hibernia and Midgard are covered here, in no particular order, so have a look around and find your new home location.
This list took so long, it won't be updated unless you ask us specifically to find you a house somewhere. We will also check other realms on other servers for a house lot for you, if you ask nicely ;)
The houses available are as of the date they were posted, which is viewable at the top of the page for each housing region. So if you're looking at a location please make sure to check the date it was checked and compare it to today's date. Some vacant lots may be taken already, so have a couple in mind when you go to get yours.
Please also note the scheduled date of repossession, and remember, if one is due to be repossessed in 3 days, the cost will be high but goes down 1.2plat every hour.
If one of these lots is yours, then log in and pay your rent before someone else gets it!
Kai gives us word on The Herald some hot fixes applied to the game today, November 15:
"Introduced additional accessories with +Stealth for classes that wish to template in that skill line. These items can be obtained through quest rewards in the Hubs or via the Hub Quartermasters, and through the Bounty Point stores in the battlegrounds."
I'm playing around with the new user journey and have rolled a character on all three realms to play through the battle grounds. Hibernia, it seems is still difficult finding a group, even at the lower levels, Hibernia remains very cliquish. Midgard seems to be noob friendly in spurts. Some days, you log into the battle ground and are instantly invited to a group. Other days, you have to /lfg or /region class lfg. Then there are days you can't seem to buy your way into a group. Albion on the other hand, seems to be very group friendly. Log into one of the battlegrounds, pick up the quests and just head out the door. Before you make it to the first quest location, you have a group invite. Hit one of the quest zones, check out the Midgard keep, kill any Mids you see. Move to the next quest zone, check out the Hibernia keep, kill any hibs you see, next quest. Turn in quests, wash, rinse, repeat.
Topic of the Week is asking, which is the "group" friendliest realm? Is my experience typical?
