Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is now attached to star in the feature adaptation of Monster Hunter's Survival Guide, based on the comic book miniseries by John Paul Russ.

The books are collected into a comprehensive guide to tracking, hunting and surviving all kinds of supernatural beings like vampires, werewolves and the undead. According to Deadline, Simon Kinberg (Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) will be producing under his Genre Films banner.

Johnson is currently in production on G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation and will soon begin shooting Ric Roman Waugh's DEA thriller Snitch, co-starring Susan Sarandon and The Walking Dead's Jon Bernthal.
