Requesting Help — Desperately seeking help on a game? Although you can e-mail IGN, it's sometimes faster to check with other players on our free videogame message boards.
If you still are not able to locate the information you need, please make your request to the editors through this webform, and your request will be listed here.
For tracking purposes, please send your submission via webform or as an e-mail attachment to
faqsign.com
For large or HTML/PDF files, e-mail attachment must be used. Additionally, for your guide submission to be considered as meeting a help request, be sure the following criteria are met:
You must be a registered IGN user; this step is free and painless. There are no exceptions to this rule since most IGN services require registration with the network.
A complete walkthrough or guide which covers the game from start to finishm, as well telling how to unlock the most devious secrets, achievements, avatars, and trophies is eligible for a 3-month trial IGN Prime as well as some IGN chotskies.
Any other type of guide -- including item lists, boss guides, etc. -- warrants a 3-month trial of IGN Prime.
Guides on the game's demo are ineligible for meeting help requirements as they do not cover the final version of the game.
Game Manuals are ineligible for meeting help requirements as almost everyone who has the game presumably has access to the manual (printed or in-game).
Plot, song lyric, song title list, and "non-gameplay" guides are ineligible for meeting help requirements as they do not offer technical assistance.
Public domain work from wiki-type sites are ineligible and will be denied publication, except by special permission by IGN editorial staff as public domain work.
Cheat device code lists are ineligible as those codes are proprietary to the respective device. You can't use those codes without purchasing the hardware, so those codes technically should be maintained by their respective manufacturers, not by IGN.
Guides must be a reasonably complete version for meeting help requests; no "works in progress" are considered for meeting a help request. How come? Because this gives claimants the opportunity to screw with IGN and ultimately with other readers who are honestly stuck and really need that vital game help.
A submission must be legible English. If we can't read it, we can't help you. Although IGN will gladly help publish non-English walkthroughs and guides, our primary audience consists primarily of Anglo-phones.
A submissions must be an original work, in your own words. Contributors of submissions found to have material and content copied elsewhere without permission and fair use may be subject to prosecution or associated legal action by FOX Interactive Media. Furthermore, other associated parties may elect to seek the individual for damages as well.
In the webform's Notes Box, or in the body of your e-mail, enter "Most Wanted -or- Guide Request". Without notifying the staff of your deliberate attempt to meet a help request, we will simply process a submission as it is.
Look for red or pink dots next to the "VIEW DETAILS" of a help request. Those requests have fulfillment bonuses associated with them.
Missing any of the criteria above will make your submission ineligible (or worse, unnoticed). Your submission will most likely be treated as a standard contribution and will be approved for publication on faqs.IGN.com free and unaltered.
This list of of guide requests may change at any time, without prior notification, and is dependent on the game availability, submissions received, or on any other number or combination of factors.
Although network editors reserve the unfettered right to decide which FAQs to publish, if you think your FAQ submission was rejected without due cause (i.e., you think you were screwed), e-mail FAQs staff at faqsign.com to find out why.
We can't read minds, so you need to speak up. If we could read your mind, we wouldn't be working here; or we would, but we'd be a lot richer, happier, fertile, and have our own islands - which would technically be their own countries.
IGN Entertainment and its parent company (FOX Interactive Media) reserves the right to with hold or withdraw consideration for any and all FAQ submissions if they do not meet other site criteria, violated IGN's User's Agreement, was found to be plagiarised work, or any combination of these or other unmentioned factors. Complimentary periods of IGN Prime are non-transferrable, and are limited to one complimentary period per initial submission per game (meaning updates are not applicable). In addition to any rules stated here, all submissions are subject to IGN's User Agreement, located at corp.ign.com.
Submission and/or acceptance of complimentary subscription or other offer constitutes permission for IGN, Fox Interactive Media, News Corporation, and their agencies to use the author's name, address, city, state and/or likeness as well as the FAQ submission for advertising and trade purposes without further compensation or authorization, worldwide and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media, now known and hereafter devised, including without limitation Internet, unless prohibited by law. The contents of the submitted material will remain freely accessible to the general public on IGN's network.
P.S. We are awesome.
P.P.S. If you're reading this far down, you're probably just bored.
P.P.P.S. The extra P is for people -- the species of animal that plays videogames.
