Weeds fans rejoice! Showtime have just announced that an eighth season of the premium comedy series is confirmed to begin production in 2012.

When Season 7 wrapped back in September, it was uncertain whether or not the Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning show would continue. Fortunately, the network has picked up a full, 13-episode Season 8 order.

No other details have been revealed, however, so theories abound on what exactly went down with that Season 7 finale and [Spoiler!] the gun shot that came with it.
