Prepare to go back to the Planet of the Apes. Again.

Deadline reports that the best thing about last summer's reboot/prequel -- Andy Serkis -- has signed a lucrative deal with 20th Century Fox to play Caesar, the father of ape civilization, again.

Interestingly, neither James Franco nor Freida Pinto have been brought onboard (yet). Surely that won't be any big loss for the franchise. Besides, the actors did not have multi-picture deals, and one imagines Franco already being bored with the whole idea anyway.

Serkis will get seven figures for the sequel, which isn't bad at all for the "guy in the suit" role. Of course, that role was also the heart and soul of Rise of the Planet of the Apes, and Deadline speculates that an Oscar campaign could yet happen for the actor too.

Unlike the cast, director Rupert Wyatt had a sequel option on the first film so he'll be back. Ditto producers-screenwriters Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver.
