The great and the good of games media were recognised last night at the fifth annual Games Media Awards, with IGN's Keza MacDonald (@kezamacdonald) beating off stiff competition to walk away with the coveted Best Specialist Writer Online award. IGN's Head of News and Features Colin Campbell (@colincampbellx) was also recognised, picking up the prestigious Games Media Legend award.
The Games Media Awards take place in London each year, and recognise the best of games writing across online, magazines and newspapers.
"I'm very proud to win this amazing award on behalf of all my IGN friends and colleagues around the world", said Campbell. "I'd also like to thank the many outstanding game journalists I have worked with over the past 25 years."
Edge won best Games Magazine, Shortlist scooped the award for Coverage in a Mainstream Magazine and Xbox Live's SentUAMessage was the deserved winner of the Games Broadcast/Podcast award. Rock, Paper, Shotgun and Eurogamer also walked away with plaudits.
Warm congratulations to all the winners!
