This morning's Grand Theft Auto V reveal teased the coming of the first trailer, which will hit next week. Rockstar has a long history of teaser trailers, some with almost no information, and others chock full of it. With GTA V on our minds, we take a look back at some of Rockstar's best teaser trailers, in chronological order.

Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis
Trailer Release Date: April 6, 2006
Game Release Date: May 23, 2006

Table Tennis is far from Rockstar's traditional fare, but it's a great example of how good the developer is at making trailers. Table Tennis is exactly the sports game you'd expect, but its trailer is cinematic enough to keep viewers interested. It's a good reminder that regardless of what kind of content Rockstar gives us in GTA V's debut trailer, it's at least guaranteed to be a fun watch.

Even Table Tennis Had an Epic Teaser Trailer

L.A. Noire
Trailer Release Date: October 5, 2006
Game Release Date: May 17, 2011

L.A. Noire was "announced" in 2010, but many gamers may have forgotten that its first reveal came in 2006. The original trailer told us Cole's name, but offered completely different graphics, voice acting and a different tone than the ultimate 2010 release. This trailer goes to show that what we see in a teaser may not necessarily reflect the final product.

Grand Theft Auto IV
Trailer Release Date: March 29, 2007
Game Release Date: April 29, 2008

GTA IV was initially announced via Peter Moore's arm at the close of Microsoft's E3 keynote presentation in 2006. When its teaser trailer arrived the following year, it didn't tell us much other than that the game would be pretty. Rockstar offered a sweeping view of the game's city, a quick Niko Bellic voiceover (though we didn't know his name at the time), and the official reveal of the game's logo. Showcasing the city was a necessary step for Rockstar's first next-gen GTA, but we're hoping to see a bit more from GTA V's teaser next week.
