It certainly seems like DC is laying out all of its announcements ahead of Comic-Con, doesn't it? Just now the company has added to its Batman-related news items, revealing that a new creative team is headed toward Batman & Robin this fall.
Green Lantern Corps fans get ready to rejoice - Pete Tomasi and Patrick Gleason are headed toward Gotham City. The pair takes over this November, which is the same timeframe we'll see other Batman shifts such as Scott Snyder's debut on Detective Comics and the debut of David Finch's Dark Knight series. DC has also announced that Tony Daniel will remain on Batman.
"I was always hoping I'd get a chance to tackle a main Bat book," Tomasi said in DC's announcement. "To be able to take the monthly reins from Grant on such a tremendous book is a dream come true and it's going to be a blast, especially when my partner in crime is artist Patrick Gleason, who I've had a great working relationship over in Green Lantern Corps!"
We've reached out to Tomasi for more comments on his run. We'll report back if and when we hear from him. Stay tuned to IGN - it seems like Comic-Con is definitely starting early this year.
