DICE's Battlefield series sat atop the crowd as the king of World War II-themed multiplayer shooters seemingly for ages, but times change. After the series failed to reinvent itself in the year 2142, Call of Duty stepped into the arena to show them how it's done. DICE tried to follow Modern Warfare's lead with the console-only, single-player focused Bad Company. Now DICE is finally ready to commit bringing the PC and console audiences together for a game that will satisfy those looking for a mainstream, cinematic FPS or a long-lasting multiplayer experience.
