Programme Start: August 30, 2010 (if you start the programme at Blekinge Institute of Technology in Sweden). The programme is divided into two parts, where the student study the first year at one university and the second year at another university.
Programme End: June, 2012 (if you finalize the program by studying the second year at Blekinge Institute of Technology in Sweden)

Programme presentation
Software has become an increasingly important element of many products that are developed today. There has been a shift in development costs from hardware development to software solutions. This increases the need to be able to develop software products with the right functionality, quality, on time and on budget.
The European Master on Software Engineering is constructed to meet these challenges by educating software developers in advanced software engineering concepts that covers the entire development chain, from the business management perspective to the technical management and the development perspectives.The programme spans two years, and is organised around a set of mandatory and optional courses. The mandatory courses provide a broad basis and cover several advanced topics, which the software engineering industry currently requires. Moreover, they ensure a common ground for all students. The optional courses enable you to specialise within a specific perspective and thus to increase their attractiveness to future employers in a way that they see fit. All courses are designed to present a blend of state-of-practice and state-of-the-art. This is further strengthened by the fact that the university hosts active research within the areas of all the mandatory courses.
Contents
The EMSE programme is given in collaboration with Universidad Politéchnica de Madrid (Spain), University of Kaiserslautern (Germany) and Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (Italy). The partner institutions have strong relationships with European software companies that guarantee that you will be able to deal with industry's real problems. The main idea with the programme is that you study one year at e.g. BTH and during the second year move to another university.
