DENVER, April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Examiner.com, the insider source for local, will be showcasing its top technology talent at DrupalCon 2010, kicking off in San Francisco, Calif. on April 19.
Key leaders of the Examiner.com development team, including CTO Mike Meyers, will present on a number of Drupal-related topics throughout the conference and is a silver sponsor of the event. DrupalCon 2010 will focus on the influence Open Source has on reshaping the Internet, with Examiner.com being at the center of that conversation.
With over 34,000 content contributors known as Examiners, Examiner.com has enjoyed some of the fastest year-over-year growth of any online media company. A key driver of Examiner.com's decision to move to Drupal is to improve the experience of its Examiners. More information on how to become an Examiner is available at Examiner.com.
Examiner.com's long-term strategic vision also leverages social media for improving online content distribution. This commitment sealed the large-scale migration of the entire Examiner.com site to open source Drupal. Once the migration to Drupal 7 is complete, Examiner.com will be the largest consumer web site living on the Drupal platform.
"The timing to participate in DrupalCon is perfect for us," said Examiner.com's Chief Technology Officer, Mike Meyers. "While we are in the midst of migrating from ColdFusion to Drupal, we believe now is the time to surround ourselves with key players within the global Drupal community. Examiner.com has some of the most talented Drupal developers on its team, and we're thrilled to share our expertise and findings with others, as well as learn from other participants."
Examiner.com presentations at Drupal 2010 include: CTO, Mike Meyers on Strategies for Community Contributions; Lead Front End Engineer, Konstantin Kafer on Instant Dynamic Forms with #states; and Lead Engineer and Architect, Karoly Negyesi (ChX) on MongoDB - Humongous Drupal.
