Extensions : From production to end-users

OpenOffice.org offers a complete framework allowing it to be enriched. You'll find here entry points for the various aspects of creating and distributing these extensions.
An extension is a thrid party tool that brings OOo new functionalities. This can be done through addons, addins, deployed by UNO packages. Extensions also covers templates, galleries.

The purpose if this project is to help producing, organize and deploy extensions. The native-lang projects are welcommed helping translating all of these ressources. The OOo wiki can be used to provide translation of all the materials found here.

Produce

This section gives various tools for producing addons

This entry deals with extensions production. New commers will find there various informations about UNO packages creation and quick guides.
You'll also find predefined wizards in various languages and common development tools such as a localization framework

Organize

Once extensions are produced they need to be gathered, verified and organized. A repository is then defined and the extensions are listed

Deploy

The extensions can be retreived directly form the repository and installed in one click within OpenOffice.org. This sub-project is to create the tool
