Administration and Policy in Mental Health and Mental Health Services Research is a journal focused on improving mental health services through research.

  • Publishes peer-reviewed, original empirical research articles and systematic reviews.
  • Welcomes manuscripts on children and adults, addressing a wide range of topics, excluding drug or alcohol addiction unless focusing on dually diagnosed individuals.
  • Covers, but is not limited to, effectiveness of services, measure development, economics of mental health services, managed mental health care, implementation of services, organizational relations and policy, and similar topics.
  • Encourages adherence to well-accepted guidelines in the research community for conducting and reporting studies.
