Assignment: Construct an edible model of either a plant or an animal cell,
plan the ingredients for your creation, and present your model to the class.

Guidelines:
 Be sure to include all cell structures listed below and use labels on
your cell.
 Edible - Use frosting, candies, pasta, beans, fruit, etc. to represent
each part; make it look as realistic as possible (and tasty too).
 Complete the organelle function sheet as your create your cell.
 Your edible cell should be a single serving size; please keep it small
enough to bring on the bus. (should not be larger than a paper plate)
 Use disposable pans/plates or cardboard covered with foil.
 Your project will be graded for accuracy, completeness, creativity,
and neatness.
 You will also be graded on your presentation for your explanation and
delivery.
 Please see the rubric on the back.

*****If you are unable to make an edible cell (if your parents are unable to
get these materials), please see your teacher about an alternate project.
