2: How to add Validation for Individual Compensation, for example an employee can be
granted special bonus only once in a lifetime.
Ans: There is no way to add the validation. Workaround to make the person ineligible for the
reward. You could use a fast formula to see if the workers have the element (it will be limited
by assignment) and if they do, they are not eligible.
3: what is use of eligibility criteria in comp?
Ans: to restrict the eligibility, we add criteria to profile.
Personal, employment, others, derived factors
4: Name some compensation elements
Ans: bonus, overtime earning, car allowances
5: Type of elements in comp
Ans: Recurring like basic salary
Non Recurring like Bonus
6: What happens if my eligibility requirements are different for the components than they are
for the plan?
If a worker is found eligible for the plan, the worker might or might not be eligible for one or
more components in the plan.

7:Can I change an alternate hierarchy?


Yes. You can change the hierarchy of an already defined alternate approver without running the
refresh process

8: Derived Factor Types?


six different types of derived factors: age, compensation, length of service, hours worked, full-
time equivalent, and a combination of age and length of service
9: can we include multiple criteria in an eligibility profile

Yes

If you define multiple values for the same criteria type, a person needs to satisfy at least one of
the criteria to be considered eligible

10: if I do not select the Required option when I add an eligibility profile to an object?

If you add only one eligibility profile to an object, then the criteria in that profile must be
satisfied, even if the Required option is not selected.

5: What's an element's skip rule?


A skip rule is an optional formula that determines the circumstances in which an element is
processed.

6: How can I create an element for retroactive processing?

Add the element to the predefined retroactive event group and proration group. Create your
own retroactive event group and proration event group and change the default values for the
element in the Manage Element flow.

7: How can I improve performance and troubleshoot flows?

To process large volumes of records, use the Threads and Chunk Size parameters

8: If there are some error for some employee during payroll, how to rectify that?

a)Will exclude those employee and create a different group for those to be processed
separately.

b) if identified earlier, will exclude those from payroll , then run quick pay foe those emloyees.

9: How can I remove someone from the payroll run?

Roll back the person’s record from the View Person Process Result page, which deletes the
record

10: What are Object Groups?


Object groups are user-defined sets of elements or people used to restrict which of these items
to include in various processes and reports.

There are four types of object groups:

 Element
 Payroll Relationship
 Work Relationship
 Deduction Card

11:What are Payroll Relationship Groups?

Payroll Relationship Groups limit the persons processed for payroll, data entry, and reporting.
When defining the group specify the payroll definition which retrieves the payroll relationships
assigned to it. Every group is limited to the payroll relationships assigned to a single payroll that
you select. You can further define the group statically or dynamically.

12:How to include or exclude an employee assignment from a payroll process?

Create a payroll relationship group to include or exclude employees from payroll processes or
reports.
