Aims and scope
The Egyptian Journal of Otolaryngology (EJO) is the official publication of the Egyptian Society of Otolaryngology. The journal publishes essential articles in the field of otorhinolaryngology (ORL) including rhinology, head and neck, otology, audiology, phoniatrics and facioplastic. EJO welcomes academics and physicians to submit their original articles, review articles, case reports and letters to the editor that stimulate the scientific progress in the field. The journal’s goal is to offer a perspective to the ORL community with the most recent, authentic and valuable findings in the field.
About the Society
The Egyptian Journal of Otolaryngology (EJO) is the official publication of The Egyptian Society of Otolaryngology. The society was founded in 1980 as a non-profit organization. It aims to provide the otorhinolaryngology (ORL) community with maximum support through organizing events and conferences as well as promoting the scientific achievements in the field of ORL.

Professor Ahmed Atef, MD, Cairo University, Egypt
Professor Ahmed Atef has been an Acting Professor of Otolaryngology at the Faculty of Medicine at Cairo University since 2012. Moreover, he published more than 22 articles in international, peer-reviewed journals. He has a special interest in research methodology and publication and has organized more than four research methodology courses in Egypt and abroad. Additionally, Prof Atef has acted as reviewer in over seven international peer-reviewed Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) journals.
