I am a retired aerospace engineer and spent my career in engineering-level computer modeling of wind tunnels, test models, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer.
My OS experience runs from Windows to Red Hat to Ubuntu and Debian with a bit of dabbling in macOS. But I have not used a Windows machine since Windows 95.
I still dabble in engineering problems and have been coding analytical orbital trajectory models (after Goddard) in gnuplot.
